  1. I've given a sec officer Karma after being harmbatoned as a thrall. The security only wanted to break my bones so I am forced to go to med bay. That, and I was a bit of a jerk for resisting. edit: I guess being shitcurity gets you karma.
  2. I agree... It seems to me that there is too many air alarms linked to the same vents...The Engineering Hallway or Toxin Mixing room for example Air Alarms share the same vents...its really bad.
  3. I was debating on whether or not this should be added to the general discussion, but it seems more suited here. My question is why do we even have this role? I can make the same argument with barber (or other roles in the list as well), but this role in particular strikes me as being the most useless role in the game. There seems to be no benefit other than someone who has access to medical and medical records. Then you have those who will say "Ohh its for RP and we are like...an MRP server and stuff", but then you have roles like the Chaplain (an excuse to valid hunt and null rods and shit). Explain that argument and do a comparison with the Psychologist. What are your thoughts?
  4. I'm sure, realistically speaking, someone is going to see you welding a wall down or applying a splint. Those are actions we may not be able to visually see in game, but in reality we don't commit action just standing still when eating food or performing surgery. We have to move our arms and legs to do stuff. I do like the idea, just not for everything like removing handcuffs, etc.
  5. That wasn't the case this round. This seemed like personal agenda on the admins part. I do not want to mention the admin's name out of respect. This was definitely made to 'ruin' the enjoyment of the round. It wasn't funny at all, it was a very serious situation. I don't care if admins have different opinions, but I rather not have those opinions shoved down my throat. They should keep it to themselves and do things to make the round enjoyable and not using your power to change something they personally don't like.
  6. So an Admiral (an admin) came on board and didn't like the fact that people were getting different names on there ID which isn't a breach in SoP... If that's the case then we should make it an SoP that the names staff are given must be appropriate in a sense. Right? edit: Like honestly, there are things that doesn't make sense at all which makes me not want to play SS13 no more. The double standards and interpretations. I just want to have fun and play the game. Things like this upsets me. How can I play when I'm upset? edit2: An admin doesn't like the way things are going and so they have to use there power to change it.
  7. Me playing Atmos...Its pretty bad but its something
  8. All I hear is people complaining about the race imbalance and yet there is no clear answer because someone on the sidelines would bring up "Well its a race you have to unlock with Karma, that balance within itself" bullshit... So why not get rid of it and lets see if imbalance is really and issue by removing karma from races. The key to knowing is observation and I'm sick and tired of these bullshit arguments without proof and knowledge... Edit: I would also like to see someone make a legit argument about why there is karma for races in the first place other than saying "Its for player Achievement and longevity yadadada"...
  9. The underlining is the problem. Its the same but worded differently....Again, fighting for the same beef.
  10. Get rid of either the Magistrate or the NTR...Its seriously like two wolves fighting for the same beef. Edit: I mean that's one of the problems of Paradise Station so far. There are so many jobs without proper definitions such as Atmospheric Tech. They are not Engineers, but some people act as if they are. If you can't find a proper difference between two jobs then remove one job until a purpose for the other job can be made.
  11. Then I shouldn't expect to get banned for murdering someone unless it was a 'minor' transgression as stated in the rules. I should be able to kill in good judgement even if I don't want to. If I do get banned however for this, I will make an admin complaint about it as you suggested. Thanks Dumdum. If I do happen to get banned and I see It is unfair or unjust, then I suggest going back to my original suggestion. edit: I won't murder for the sake of being a shitter (I don't like shitters and neither will I ever become one). I do it for the sake of RP which SS13 lacks.
  12. Yeah well, this can't happen because murder is reserved for antags. Therefore the reason for the suggestion is to make it crystal clear to the player. If you are not an antag and murder someone, you get banned. edit: It's a simply fix because no matter how you justify your case to an admin. You'll normally get banned, so making it clear to players that read the rules will prevent bans from happening.
  13. You are absolutely right. The rules shouldn't be heavily define, I agree. I didn't quote this part because it was a separate uh....entity? I've seen this in many server, but the second part of the sentence of 'interpretation' has nothing to do with common sense. By definition Common Sense: having a good sense of judgement (Which I have, I'm not a shitter and just kill people because its fun, its not) Interpretation: the action of explaining the meaning of something. (Which can be changed from person to person if not set in stone) I get the general idea, but if an Admin wants to ban me (and it already has) and say that I have broken the rules and not even explain to me why ans says "Broken the rules because he broke the rules", It just proves that the admin had no reason to ban you in the first place. A GOOD admin would explain your mistake, show you which part of the rules you broken in detail WITHOUT bullshitting to INTERPRET the rules in their favor. Which I know a bunch of other admins may back that admin up due to cliques (I've heard it in one of the podcast that this is a thing, an actual admin said this).
  14. They may be fine but they are not without flaws...Hence why I suggest a change to make it more to the admins liking. You get ban for murder if you are not an antag...simple. The rules are always interpreted so you can never win pretty much when an admin says you broke the rules, when in your interpretation, you didn't... I don't want to get started on double standards either. This right here on rule 0 allows the admin to win every time. They are pretty much Gods. Pissed them off you get ban. They feel like banning someone, ban. Just because? ban. edit: So regardless...When I murdered someone, I got banned for it. I murder someone thinking I made the RIGHT decision. It wasn't self antagonizing at all.
  15. You are interpreting that, this is a rule. Its an 'Abbreviation for common terms used on the server.'
  16. Add this in the rules
  17. The Self-Antag rule about murdering players is not completely understood for why I've been wrongfully banned for. Apparently, murder is only reserved for Antagonist and that is understandable, but to murder someone to assume that they might be a antag that needs to be murder is not clear in the rules. There are admins saying that it's still against the rules, but how? It doesn't make sense unless you interpret the rules in your perspective. If you are going to ban people for murder without purposely murdering a player just for the sake of that player wanting to kill for fun (murder boning), then what's the point of accusing someone of manslaughter? Might as well remove it from space law because murder is murder apparently. Aside from my little rant. Here is my suggestion. My Suggestion is this: Original Rule Self-Antagging Murdering someone because of a minor transgression is considered Self-Antagging and will result in a ban. Revisioned Rule Self-Antagging Murdering someone is considered Self-Antagging and will result in a ban. Reason: Apparently, whether its a minor trangression or not. You get banned so I suggest removing that line. Edit: Also do this...Because an admin banned me because I didn't have evidence so add this - Murdering without evidence (regardless if you assume that player is an antag and needs to die) will result in a ban.
  18. Now you are assuming...I didn't make any demands. Please Stop. edit: I don't understand the reason for these arguments...either listen to what I have to say or don't. Its a suggestion for a reason. edit2: Please lock this thread..I'm seriously done with these assumptions and accusations.
  19. See? I told you...Someone already wants to go off topic on this. And like I said...NOT AGAINST THE RULES!!! FIX IT!!! edit: deleted alot on this reply because after reading what you said, you only prove how much the rules are broken. I'm not going to argue with you because you weren't there for 5/6 of them. edit2: Might as well lock this thread...I'm done. I know the rules won't be fix anytime soon (That takes time and commitment). But, if It happens that I run across and admin to pull that shit on me again...Expect and admin complaint and a shit ton of screenshots. edit3: I've probably read the rule about 18-20 times now from top to bottom. Not once have I got banned and not once have I broken any rules. Don't expect me to start now. Might as well just leave me alone in-game.
  20. Ok Fine...I'll tell you the ones that I can remember I was told not to do again. Descriptive kissing - Apparently describing how you kiss a person is erotic...Since when did kissing become a sexual arousal? Told not to do it again. Shuttle Brig Escape - So I saw a friend of my (not IRL, just a friend I made during that round) in custody from a security officer taking her to the shuttle brig. I manage to get her out of the shuttle brig and failed halfway escaping. Told not to do it again. Captain Complaint - I faked file a complaint because I didn't have time since the entire station was in total chaos. Told not to do it again. Captain order of demotion of HoS - I demoted the HoS for doing something (I don't remember). And was told by the admin that I made a bad decision. Told not to do it again. Killing a prisoner - I was playing a security officer and some dude kept stabbing me with a broken bottle. As per SOP, i'm free to take any necessary action even if it means killing someone. I killed the person and fainted next to him. But I wasn't a antag. Wasn't against the rules because it wasn't a "minor" agression. Told not to do it again. Gravity Generator Bomb - I was a traitor and couldn't complete the greentext. So I used all the last of my TC to try to blow up the gravity generator...Not against the rules. Told not to do it again. Happy? Can you fix the rules now?
  21. If I start going into details on what needs to be added on the rules or what I was referring too, then the discussion would of gone off topic by debates on such suggestions I've made... The suggestion was for the admins to look into the rules and fix it. That is all..Nothing else. Yes. I know it doesn't help. I just want the shit to stop...I really do...Admins talking to me in game about things that is not against the rules is pissing me off..I want it to stop. edit: This topic is probably pointless I guess since it seems i'm misunderstood. This is why I hate posting things on forums because I'm bad at posting stuff...
