Which wiki was this found in? That screenshot? I looked for it on the baystation and ours, didn't see it.

EDIT: What I am getting at is; it should be. It should also be made rather clear, and space law should make it the go to, instead of putting execution as all of them on any code 300

  2. Also, not sure where it is, but I am sure it exists and I didn't make it up, but it is probably somewhere really obscure and out of place like a job guide or SOP, instead of space law, but it explains the major punishments and how they compare, and what should be done. If I remember correctly, implant if the player would actually be useful, if not, then prison rock, if not, cyborg, if not, exile, if not, perma, if not, execution. Something like that. I will high five somebody who can finds it, if it exists. Might be a bay/tg/vg something specific, not sure where I got the idea from, but I am pretty sure I have seen something like that. Also, the player being punished has the choice of how they are to be executed if they are not being a useless sack of shit, but a useless sack of shit enough to get executed.

Why would anyone with loyality implant try to remove the said implant? NT gave them a wonderful gift of enlightenment, it's the second best thing ever, only second to glorious Nanotrasen itself! ALL GLORY TO NANOTRASEN!

Loyalty implants? Great. Gives all the more reason to do some heavy investigation covertly, and having all the evidence needed to implant (which by the way is the same as the death sentence, a pretty big deal) and it is icing on the cake when you have a concrete debate and literally everything proved, and then implantation.

Shitcurity that implants or executes for finding a piece of synditech on somebody with no evidence of use or where it came from, or just general states of heightened paranoia? Shitcurity.

Loyalty implants goes for some pretty interesting RP, shitcurity or executions do not. Loyalty implants are not broken, shitcurity is.

Removing an implant from your body? What would be the point of implantation, then? Also, neural implants? Wouldn't ripping into your head and brain deal massive amounts of brain damage/sight, hearing loss/ coma?

Not classical, but if I didn't say other wise, doubt anybody would notice.

If somebody hates classical, those are types of people you don't need to associate with. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I started writing this out for the discussion on the dispatch job thread, by the end of it, it just warranted a new thread. Here goes. I wrote this in 5 minutes.

Quick crash course to a smoothly run security department, in essence, a smoothly run station.

HOS: Gather your useless shits right at shift start, all of them. Who reports first and how quickly will tell you right off the bat who is the least useless, like those ones the most. Your speech should tell them to put suit sensors to max, and ascertain who is good at what for departmental work. There are 5 departments to be patrolled: civilian, medical, science, engineering, and cargo. A some what knowledgeable officer should be assigned to the department they are most knowledgeable about. There should be like 6 or so officer slots for people to fill in game. 5 departments to patrol. that means there is one non synthetic officer to patrol the public halls. Also, note, tell your useless shits to mostly stay out of the tunnels, that part comes later. As HOS, you will not be super cop, you are mostly just a leader to keep your useless shits in line, be friendly to other heads so they cough up useful info, and are more open to you more or less forcing your officers into their department. You yourself patrol the bridge area, and mostly stick your self at the bridge monitors.

Warden: So, the HOS did that whole thing, that is macro manage. You take care of the brig, and delegate work to specific officers. Get a report of a violent act in progress? Check the scene, scour it, make sure it is safe for the officer assigned to the department to proceed. You are mostly a desk job, also, don't be a dick, you will be dealing with inmates, that probably had to deal with less than useless shits that harm batoned them for dropping a candy wrapper. (This actually happened once) (I wish I was kidding) (I shortly after started playing HOS for a week, and a week only to prove the clown is a far better HOS in all regards) (It worked). Anyway, patrol brig, pretty much be on cameras at all times, spy on the guard. They will be high value targets to be killed, if there is a hostile there. (Yes, they are being used as bait.)

Brig phys: do what you are meant to, but also patrol the brig so the warden doesn't have to. Not like you are probably really busy anyway. you aren't a cop, but patrolling the inner area is directly conducive to your own safety, anyway, so go for it. Also, assist on cameras. Really, you can not have too many people on cameras, especially if your job is useless or has some down time for a moment.

Detective: NOT A COP. But,you are the friendly person who can never get drunk and has a lot of free time on your hands. YOU GET A BUDDY! YAY! That left over cop from before? You get paired with them, buddy system, to patrol public space. When a scene or something is called in, you are the ones to be called for backup. The officer for actual officer stuff, you to do your scanning and all. That means there are 3 non synthetics right on the scene, at every scene. The departmental officer will let you in, and show you all that needs to be shown.

AI: The HOS should alert you at shift start to patrol as much as you can, and any borg, no matter the model, should patrol the tunnels as much as they can. If they have a security model, that is the only thing they will do, patrol the tunnels. Officers can have a slip up and die easily in a tunnel, a borg, less so.

Pilot: Patrol the outer areas, call in breaches/ break ins. A lot of the tunnels have windows, always check in on those places.

Blueshield: Don't be a cop, but at least you can assist the cops. If there is something going down, and a head is in danger, call it in, if you are in a department, well, you are set. That means you will have 3 people as back up, when the detective and other officer arrive.

Dispatch: So, it goes HOS with the macro, Warden with the micro, and you, even more micro. Do what you do, you are payed to only be on cameras. you can never have too many people on cameras, really.

Here's an example, use it or disregard it as you wish.

    Class: Commune

Land: off grid land in Florida, USA. (Farming is easy, land is cheap. Downside: really fucking hot and humid)

"Leaders": Charismatic, fervent, and stoic minister type. Other strong spiritual leader, though as a foil to the first kind. As of right now, this is about it for leaders that'd I'd personally hand pick. I could choose others, but the knowledge of what needs to be built, farmed, and sustained would already be in possession of the original two.

Mission/Goal: Secede from society (pretty much what every commune does), aid the homeless. Attempt at achieving a higher quality of life.

Buildings: Several housing complexes, a large aquaponics complex, a large, possibly two hydroponics complex(es), and a community building, it would double as a place of worship/meditation and have an "observatory" on the top of it. The tallest building in possession. Off site there would be a soup kitchen that excess food would go to. (there will be a lot of "excess" food, it is produced for the purpose of donation)

It would sustain 10 people easily, to start. The food harvested would go to 3 things, providing to the residents, the main focus, second to the homeless, and excess would be sold off for limiting expenses.

How it differs from the other categories: While off grid, seceding entirely would be nigh impossible. Although there would be an unspoken hierarchy on the sense that the two people playing puppeteer would be religious, the commune would promote those roles only for enrichment, so the residents may seek them out if they wish. And while hopefully it would benefit all involved, it would be far from perfect, therefore not a utopia.

  7.

I am tasking each of you with trying to come up with a cult, commune, or utopia. You are in charge, you chose the types of people who will fill leadership positions, what you want to accomplish, morals, values, mission, all that jazz. You create it in your head, you tell me how you'd do it, why you'd do it, and what it is. Make sense? Go.

PS. Include like where it is, how you'd get the land, (like if you are making an off grid commune, or whatever. Anything off grid, I guess) what sort of buildings you'd have (and why) any and all details you could possibly fathom. Go.

at least for like, right now. These things happen on a whim.

    Although I just got an idea for Regens . . . hmmm . . .

Also, these are meant to be as realistic as possible based upon what I know about each member of the staff (Heres a hint: staff are secretive, even about small details like gender) So, this is what I think of (not really) when I think of members of the staff. (I think about the members of the staff, constantly. All the time. Every waking moment. It is all I ever think about now. Except sometimes pizza.)
