Also, dionaea are not immune to facehuggers.

Unless that's been changed, last time when I played Xeno Queen (AKA monitoring every single people that were brought in), they weren't getting larvae'd, and I had to just kill them off.

Cyborgs can actually switch modules without clicking the three boxes.

I can't remember the key because I'm not on the computer I use for SS13, thus not on the keyboard I also use. Mumble Mumble.

But I believe that it is the same one to switch hands as an humanoid, if I'm correct.

    'Tis correct.

    X to swap around modules

    Q to de-select the module

R to store the module and immediately move to the next one.

Oh. You probably use hotkey mode, I don't. But there you go! That's good!

If someone does that, they're getting tabled, cablecuffed, and borged anyways.

Yes, it's easily punishable. But THEN, you need to go to the HoP... Get access, if you're luckyyy... And it's just a god damned mess that wasn't a problem before!

Also, I wouldn't borg an asshole like THAT. Debrain, stuff in a box, forget said box in space. Done.

I was about to say that, too. I can almost picture it.

"Hey, borg me!" He gets into robotics, but then immediately screwdrives the console.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but this topic IS called "Changelog Discussion", so doesn't that makes it the correct place to, in fact, discuss this?

Yeah I think you're right, but when I play research I personally like to do it Au natural and without Robotics aid (except for wormhole) and I just hate when robotics runs in with armfulls of stuff ruining the fun

It takes ONE minute at most to give R&D a big boost, while also allowing robotics to build mech circuits, via things built from robotics that take LESS then 40 seconds.

Compared to "Au naturel", it's insanly faster.

Let's be honest, the RIPLEY would make a shitty engineering mech, considering the current tools that could be used in that way.

    The Good:

Drill: Could be a good and fast way to take down walls, but no metal return, I believe.

Hydraulic Clamp: A nice way to store engineering materials, I'll admit.

Mounted RCD: Speaks for itself, but you ARE in a bulky mech that's not as easy to move around, compared to someone with a normal RCD. It probably costs power to use it instead of cartridges, so that is in it's favor.

Now, for the more useless ones.

Cable Layer: Only benefit, is, (I think) infinite cables. However, you're in a mech. It's bulky and hard to move around in. Bad to precisely lay cables.

Extinguisher: You need to refill it in a water tank. Perhaps it has a better capacity, but you can drag a water tank behind you. Not in a mech, unless you have it in your cargo hold with the clamp, and that's a bother.

And that's it. (From the top of my head and the wiki's, perhaps there's more, I dunno.) The current tools makes an engineering RIPLEY not that viable. Nor any mechs if they are added.
