Duties: Pilot the Armed Security Pod, hunt down space fugitives, get lost.
The Security Pod Pilot's job is to pursue suspects that roam in space with your Security Space Pod, away from the trusty hands of your fellow Security Officers, patrol the space nearby, scouting for hull damage or other dangers, keeping the station safe from any troublemakers, traitorous engineers, and the enemies.
Equipment
Here is a list of stuff that the security pod pilot spawns with:
- A space pod. You wander the skies around the station in this, your trusty space pod, keeping the crew from harm from all the nasty aliens that live out there.
- A space suit. You need this in case your pod someone explodes.
Starting Out
The Security Pod Pilot starts out in the Eastern side of Security. They kit up in this area and they have access to breathing apparatus as they are in space most of the time. Just above their spawn is the area where their shuttle is kept. Their pod is equipped with a taser module by default, and your security locker comes with a laser module, which you can place in by using a crowbar on the pod, clicking the pod with a bare hand, removing the taser module, and clicking the pod with the laser module in hand. Crowbar the pod to close the hatch again. DO NOT USE THIS UNLESS IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. An example of when this would be needed would be to clear out space carp.
Traitoring
As the security pod pilot, not many people have the speed that you possess. And even if the mechanic builds their own pod, guess who has the authority?
Your access is not very extensive, but you can possess (or steal away!) most of the weapons that security has, which may be enough to complete your objectives.
If you are caught to explain what you're doing snooping around, or being so far away from your pod, you could get away by saying that you were off-duty and was bored (generally true), or that you were looking for an escaping suspect, with no time to waste!
