Character Biography Background: Astin grew up having a fairly normal childhood, often sneaking into his father's company's excavation sites to play. One day however Astin was involved in a landslide at one of the sites resulting in the loss of his left arm at age 11. He was fitted with a robotic prosthesis and instructed by the doctors to take up hobbies involving his hands to improve his coordination with his new cybernetic limb. Taking up both Piano and Guitar; Astin developed a love of music and later learned engineering and mechanics following in his father's footsteps.
