Right, so I thought about it, and I need to make an actual contribution, so i'm going to start editi-, erm... MAKING FROM SCRATCH some sprites. first off, my joker outfit, with gloves and mask too!
It's only an edit, but I've been working on it for a few days and thought I might make it.
PS. it's based on the Heath Ledger joker

I'm afraid they're not in DMI format, because I don't really know how to convert them back to it

From what I've seen, there appear to be perscription versions of many of the eyewear, including mesons, so it wouldn't be too hard to put them in somewhere.

So I already made one of these a long time ago, but it was kind of crappy, so I'll redo it.
I'm not going to pretend any of you actually want to hear who I am in real life, so I'll skip that part. All I'll say is that I've been playing on here for quite a long time (must be at least 6 months) and it's the best server around. 10/10, would robust again.
My name is Harlan Thorn. I was born on Aerus VI to a couple of human colonists, both of which were murdered in front of me by a local gang of raiders. Once I was 17, I left that godforsaken planet and joined the FlyCo Mercenary Group, working there for about 3-4 years, until I left to join the 'amazing' ranks of NanoTrasen. I've been with NT for almost 30 years now, filling roles from Assistant to Captain. Nowadays, you'll probably see me filling the position of NT Representative, mainly consisting of explaining why the Centcomm Status Reports don't mean sh*t, and yelling at the Captain for executing traitors without interrogating them. I like to think I'm an honourable man, and I stick to my morals and rules, but don't expect me to stick to yours. Oh, and finally, don't cross me. If you do, you WILL get hurt, mark my words.

personally, if it isn't something blatantly obvious like "Doctor Who", "Santa Claus" or "Hitler", then i doubt it would draw that much attention. i say go with it, and if the admins tell you it's not ok, just change it. it won't make them think any less of you or anything, so try it out.

So I know you can put helmets and armour on Ian, and a station-bounced radio on most animals, but what else can you put on them ?

too true. You dont even need the game mode. Ive been in rounds where the assistants have ran barefisted fight clubs in maintanence before. Beating eachother into brain damage.
Also, had another idea.
High Profile Trial: One person is designated the defendant. Has to be escorted on the station, case tried, and either released or confined. A few crewmen have the job of seeing them survive the round (even if they arent Sec). A few others have the objective of killing or maiming them (or melting their face off). It also gives the lawyer something to do except pretend to be a part of security.
I'm sensing the perfect situation for a Pheonix Wright style trial here. make it so!

Ok, so basically, you know how security has those halter things? There needs to be a lawyer version of that, but instead of saying 'HALT' it says 'OBJECTION!'.
Also, maybe it could have different settings, like a 'HOLD IT!' and 'TAKE THAT!' setting.

I definitely agree with the two-tile-wide hallways idea, since there's always that one guy who blocks the path with an ambulance.
As for new areas, I think what this, and every station needs is a paintball/airsoft arena of some kind, complete with guns. Oh, and of course, a bigger holo deck would be nice, for all those 60-man-server-trials.

i think most of the crashes are due to the servers auto-restart software, but i could be wrong.

I think the flashlights should have a cone of vision instead of just lighting all around you, that would make it easier for us assassins who live in the dark and stay in the dark

there needs to be a fannypack/belt-worn backpack for all those fireaxe-wielding maniacs out there who need their backpack slot

I was looking at a few stories of deathsquad 'invasions' and I was wondering, has the deathsquad ever been sent to wipe out the crew, but been fought back, or killed by them? If they have, then that would be a story I would love to hear.

I like the idea aswell, that way if medbay isn't a staffed, the paramedic doesn't have to constantly go back to the lobby to check the tracking computer.
