"The things you can't ahelp but annoy you and probably only you." hm.....

    Only one thing:

People walking around on harm intent, so you instead of passing them, you push them.

    Annoying as fuck.

Guh, especially when fighting a blob.

    REEEEEEEEEEE!! CHECK YOUR INTENTS!!

The worst offenders are the ones that'll resort to pushing others over rather than fixing their shit. They make the case for Space Eugenics.

please dont forget late joiners, will they go in the middle of space, spawn at the new station cloning bay,not spawning at all?

The destruction of the Cyberiad would occur at round end, at which point the pass/fail score is given; extending past that would be an act of the Madmins.

If i'm not mistaken you can automate it using an atmos automation computer conected to the pumps and to a sensor (or any number of sensor), but i don't think you can do it through the air alarm.

A fire supression system in toxins is a pretty nice idea, and a good project to take your time as an Atmos, I'll try it sometime.

    See ya there! :>

  4. As an Atmos tech, I struggle most shifts to set up a fire suppression system (using cold CO2) in the small maint rooms between sci-chem and toxins mixing. I find it to be an effective deterrent to plasma fires as long as either the AI or myself is manning it. A few additional pipes would go far into making it an effective starting set-up.

Still trying to find out if there's a way to automate it, I'm trying playing with the air alarm settings to see if there's some way to make the pumps turn on automatically over a certain temp threshold, but I'm having no luck. Throw in greyshirts with a flair for opening random canisters and you have one angry Atmosan. >:

The attached image is my typical set-up. The light blue are the tanks on connectors, the red lines the pipes, the green marks are air injectors. I'd generally throw plasma glass windows with girders in them in the walls for easier monitoring. After setting it up I'd ask the AI to check the functionality of the pumps so they know what's up.

Do I get it correctly that we would rebuild CC? Or like just an emergency station? That for sure would be intressted. A BIG project. We would have to minimalize antagonists, so engineering dont have to work on both stations. Also engineering would have be preety good.

Also I think that would be nice if admins would send messages to cap as space factions, offering help((not for free ofc)), or something liek this.

I was thinking an Emergency Evacuation to the Construction Site. But rebuilding CC... hmm... I like it.

But then, CC kinda has an odd layout as well without a lot of the stuff the Cyberiad has.

As well as the factions and outside help idea, I love it, it would give the admins more to do. If this was ever a thing I'd love to be on the initial Engineering Team.

  6. Name of Event: Moving Day (disregard if this has been done.)

One Sentence Description: The worst has happened; Central Command has been destroyed and your station is next!

Map Change: No. (Refined future versions of this scenario may need mild tweaking to apply such things like Cryodorms and escape pods/emergency shuttle docking to the Construction Site.)

    Code Changes: No.

Suggested Number of Players: Relatively High-Pop, with a robust Engineering crew.

    Full Description of Event:

A hyper-velocity black hole ejected from a nearby supernova has destroyed Central, all communications have suddenly been lost, long-range scanners are picking up a rapidly approaching high-temperature accretion disc with a now Super Matter charged Gravitational Singularity at it's center! The station must be evacuated, but to where?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

~Nanotresen Emergency Orders in the event of the destruction of the NSS Turl.~

In the unforeseen event of the impending destruction of the Cyberiad in such a scenario that evacuation becomes impossible, the Command staff is to begin the emergency completion of the Construction Site station. The Command Staff is given absolute martial authority to accomplish this.

In addition, the station is not considered completed without the following facilities:

~80% of the original crew, alive and well, with acceptable genetic diversity.

~A functioning and activated engine with power applied to the whole station.

~One functional AI, with camera visibility of at least 60% of the station.

~The NSS Cyberiad's onboard Nuclear Fission Device

~A fully pressurized atmosphere with at least the minimal capability to provide Atmospherics services.

~A Medbay capable of surgery, with at least one cryotube, one scanner, and one cloning bay.

~The relevant production capability to sustain the surviving crew. (food, supply, services optional)

~Other key points determined by Admin Team.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Notes:

This scenario may take a while, a custom 4 or 5 hour time table may be enough to reasonably make the station an analog for the NSS Cyberiad, given the present structure but lack of wiring, piping, and other objects. At the deadline, everything on the Cyberiad's Z-level is killed/destroyed as if it was nuked. At which point the requirements are checked and the Pass/Fail score is given.

Something like this may be interesting to have antagonists participate in, but for initial testing antagonists may have to be disabled to see if a full participating crew can even do this.

The Mechanic and the proper application of the White Ship would be absolutely key to accomplishing this Event, space mobility would be a mandatory capability. (Multiple pods with cargo attachments and "docking bays" for the White Ship)

Something like this, if sprung on the crew in a surprise, would probably spark a large scale initial panic among the crew. The Command's challenge would lie in calming the chaos and getting them organized enough to accomplish anything. Engineering would need to be grown in such a way that it becomes a significant portion of the crew. Mining would need to get as much material as possible to finish up the station, while Science would need to develop items to assist this ambitious project.

&%#&. PLUSHIES ARE REQUIRED ON CORE FOR IMMEDIATE SNUGGLING. SNUGGLING IS ONLY POSSIBLE WHEN FOLLOWING ALL LAWS!

Dat purple fox plushie went with me to space before finding it's true home.

I see four others I raided the claw machine for... how does one feed more credits anyway? I must FLOOF!

  8. No shit? :V

Keeping me together in my early SS13 days must've paid overtime in Medbay. Thanks for your efforts!

Yeah, that was a messy breakup, one I regret now but don't think will ever be rescinded, I got pretty dramatic.
