  1. I didn't leave out it was a max cap, i dind't even know it was a max cap. It literally was just a potassium water grenade casing with a remote signaler and igniter attached to it. The explosion log should even say it as well.

     

    I couldn't have known that the other roboticist was in there or was about to leave, or even that there was a civillian passing by in the hallway. Roboics is a public area but one that isn't passed by much unless you're in science or going to science maintenance.

     

    The damage itself to Science and the surronding area is extremely exagerrated, robotics itself was repaired in about five minutes, and machines rebuilt by fifteen minutes afterwards.

     

    The mistake I made was that I forgot to ahelp about it first, which we all make mistakes. Can you genuinely say you've never made one before? Because I haven't made one in a while, but after 2 years it's easy to slip up once, but one slip up is harsh for a permanent antag and science ban at the same time.

    Meanwhile the following round of this one, the paramedic diona without ahelping to my knowledge when I asked afterwards, maxcapped the vault solely to get the documents and destroyed the arrivals hallway, half of arrivals maintenance, and part of the security hallway but it wasn't looked into. This picture even is only half of the damage, and it's only after we fixed almost everything but piping and wiring.

    Brief description 

    Bombed robotics to assassinate target that would not leave robotics for the entire round duration until after the bombing.

    Now, I didn't know for certain just how big of an explosion it would have been. Earlier, about 10 minutes prior to me even doing anything, the CMO had called out on comms about "RND printing dangerous stuff" and for crew to "watch out" from it. This put me on edge because I had just printed a few weapons to emag to use for my objectives among other things. As such I fled into maintenance and made a AI Upload/ Telescience pad with a potassium water bomb assembly. For about 5 minutes I kept tracking my target, Madison; one of the two roboticists, who for the entire 1 hour 20 minutes into the round had only left robotics about 3 times.

     

    The entire round since then has had nothing going on what so ever. Green alert for the entire round up until me using an explosive. The only other threat the station had was a geneticist with hulk security was trying to taser for, having hulk. I didn't expect the bomb itself to be excessively damaging, but with the location of where robotics is, and how my assassinate target would not ever leave it, I was forced to used an explosive to take them out.

     

    As dadman started, sure I could have done other means to get them, all of which would have ousted me immediately and left little mystery for the bomber whom they immediately blamed a guy that had been making bombs in science chemistry over me. Any other method of just emagging in and gunning them down is little fun for no one, and gives no one anything to do than scream over comms as they're killed very instantly. There's no fun in an assassination like that for anyone. As dadman said, I could limit myself and do things like other traitors, but there didn't seem to be a point in limiting myself to not use tools at my disposal.

     

    The damage itself in robotics is very exagerrated as the pictures show. The initial destruction was in robotics itself by the fabricators, that took out my target and accidentally killed the other roboticist in the crossfire. The major bomb damage hit the surrodning area destroy tiles and apcs, but the only spaced areas where in robotics. The rest of it, the flash took out a few tiles by ripping them up but nothing more. 

     

    I do not find this justifiable in any sense for both an antag ban and science ban. My target madison would not leave robotics at all, purely wanting to sit there and make mechs in public view. My record for the last 2 years has been very clean up until now where it was seen as bombing my target that would not leave a stationary workplace in public view was too much.I probably should have ahelped to make sure it was alert but figured it'd be understandable enough because it was solely targeting my assassination only, which if asked I could explain how they would not leave their isolated area.

  4. A simple fix in that regard is making it just scan for the ID. If an antag somehow managed to get a security hybrid taser, then they likely have or even any weapons access would do. I'd imagine AEGs wouldn't have this requirement as they aren't standard security made items.

  5. I thought about  it for a while and decided Rumi is pretty right that pAIs are death alarms++ which is why I'd say remove Radio/Messanger from the Experimental pAI for balance/(Saving space for more important experimentla functions) which would remove the death alarm+++ concern about it.

  6. Well the funny thing about in real life even is the sudden pressure change is so drastic without a suit that your lungs would literally explode almost instnatly, causing major blood loss, and many bones would break as well very quickly.

    Robot pAI's don't move insanely fast anymore, they're back down to animal speeds which are slower than regular people marginably.

  9. Something I was thinking about for a while that would be pretty interesting to have.

    Essentially it functions like this.

    • Can provide minor benefits such as minor healing, slightly increased speed, better melee attacks similar to Cortical Borers functionality of providing chemicals
    • Works as a Personal artificial intelligence downoaded through the implants activate button interface
    • Similar to how holoparasites work it can directly commune with the host, nearby players, and use it's inbuilt radio for radio chatter.
    • Software options would be similar to current minus Door Jack for obvious reasons and include beneficial buffs as stated before, potentially some others
    • EMPing would silence it like normal pAIs and deal minor brain damage to the host aslong with some burns on their head.
    • If the Host was ever decapitated or killed the pAI like guardians would also perish inside.
    • Host can wipe their pAI like normal ones through the activate button while the pAI can also wipe itself when need be.
    • Cryoing with it active would delete it as normal
    • Other benefits it could have is taping in to the Radio headset of the host allowing them to use other keys if they had access such as Command, Security, Syndicate, etc
    • Would be made at R&D likely requiring some fairly high engineering and power tech levels, along with some 15-20 sheets of metal, 5 sheets of glass, 5 sheets of gold, 5 sheets of silver, and .5-1 sheet of diamond to create.
    • Would be surgically implanted through organ manip on the head
    • Does not also get a chassis as it is just an implant in someone's head.

    These are entirely theoretical and I can't say for certain how well these would be to code but it would be a nice alternative compared to current pAI and potentially other softwares to try and make it more beneficial for both Antag and non-Antags.

I was actually going to make a PR addng Rapid Crate Senders into the cargo console requring some 20-30 points for 2 more RCS' There's only 2 round start and one the QM can only access but miners sometimes take because reasons and if you cryo with one or it gets loss, stolen etc you're SOL when Security orders 30 hecking crates because Security wants dem guns and armor

  11. It'd be good for closing down on people or escaping by leaping to another person and makes it so they can't sit in a zero pressure enviroment without a suit for absolutely no reason after doing objectives.

     

    Could be a hand grab after leaping which could make it useful for leaping, stunning, and finishing with an aggro grab. Cooldown wise It'd have to be 30s-1m imo.

    • Readd Vox leap
    • Remove stun or set grab to be basic grab
    • Remove Space proofness from Vox in return for balance

    It'll be great I swear. Kill two birbs with one stone. Vox get leap again with some nerfs, and they're no longer spaceproof

  12. There's a security eod suit but onfrtunately, it doesn't really work terribly well and you usally still gib when defusing bombs. It's also  locked in the armory which only 2 security personnel ahve access to; one of which is gone, and usually when you find a syndie bomb it has under a minute so. Good luck getting it defused (or exploded) with the bomb suit, hue.

    Both actually. I'm down for making/updating current items as well as for making new ones. Personally I'd love some new items as Security to make it more enjoyable rather than just simple sprites :P But I'd be making them all in different PRs especially for ones that are new equipment entirely.

  14. Wanting to make some Security stuff so people feel more interested in it. Not entirely sure aside from new sprites, etc. Like it if people could comment on what they'd like (i.e. Specificly new sprites for X, new items, etc) to make Security more interesting and less mall cop in red looking and so forth.
