  1. I'm no longer active, the sprites were terrible so you should look into getting them redone, hell, maybe I'll even redo them one day.

  4. So since paintings are buggy and very limited I decided to start a total revamp. Current system at it's best: Usually people won't be able to see it until some random point in the round and you never have enough time to do a gallery or anything much relating to paintings for RP. There are no frames and you can't add a description or even prevent people from simply waltzing up to whatever you are doing and wiping it in 2 clicks. Not to mention the fact that the mime crayon can sometimes be an annoyance to get and puts you back even further. You need to click every pixel one by one and it's super tedious. Introducing my new system: The way I plan to do this is add more sizes of canvas and more tools, more colours and the ability to have a portfolio tied to your character in a similar way to the library which will allow you to actually finally host gallery RP! Not only that but I also plan to make it look much better. If I got my total way I would add not only paintings but a drawing system using paper and the like. the ability to frame things and put them on walls and add descriptions and a very basic protection system which requires you to at the least have a painting that is 1 not framed and 2 have some kind of scraping tool which will fill the painting back to its starting sprite. I honestly doubt this will be the case however. So at the least here are my requests: 2 shades for each colour already in so paintings can be better quality. the mime crayon is added to the crayon pack OR a white and black crayon are added instead. the ability to frame paintings and put them on walls.

  6. Thanks! Sorry it is all a little hard to see. I think I need to do a lot of respriting and stuff. Honestly I don't think I'll ever make this playable so I guess in the end it will just be something fancy to put in a portfolio.

  13. Oh my god thank you. I looked it up and even asked in ooc and couldn't find a single thing to do with it so I assumed it was unfinished and abandoned or just framed pictures or posters

I love this suggestion, same point as Tully really, it'd be nice to have you carrying the person instead of just dragging them across the floor, perhaps have it take your backpack slot and when you grab them agressively, you then drag them onto it it'll bring up a progressbar that you're lugging them on your back etc. Also... totally just giving people piggy backs outside of the medical area would be somewhat cute. I actually thought of that too just before but I didn't bother editing the post to suggest it. I like this method of doing it the most though! Why should you be able to wear a bag AND lug a person on your back at the same time anyway?
  15. Damn it you blew my cover dread. Now somebody will complain about how horrible I am as a person. But oh my god some of these features are so good I couldn't resist suggesting them!

Well to do the piggybacking I think the way their sprites were they just moved the person on the back a layer behind the person carrying them (or infront if they are facing away from the screen) and moved the sprite up a little bit and to the side (if they are facing left or right) a few pixels so you could see most of the hand of the person being carried. This shouldn't be too hard to do considering that we already have code that does something similar for paramedic, secway, janitor carts. Just need to do the same thing to people. The only issue I can see is really picking a method of doing it. I would suggest grab intent both hands and then help intent OR just dragging them onto you and having a button in their menu to offer piggyback. Or even as an emote action similar to "give" I spoke with kharshai about it and they said resisting should make the player hop off so I suppose I should state that here as well. EDIT: Due to the shape of vox I might also suggest making them unable to piggyback because that might result in some strange looking results. Plus they don't look like something that should be carrying other creatures on their back anyway.
  17. Here's some suggestions from a server I recently began playing that I think would make other servers so much nicer. (It is closed source so porting them won't work) 1, Piggybacking: In said server you are able to carry somebody on your back, this could be used as a way of transporting somebody who is injured without just dragging them violently across the floor as you sprint to medbay. It would also prevent bones from rattling around and causing damage unless it is in the head area which absolutely requires you to use a roller-bed. 2, Crawling: This feature is one of the things I miss most from the server and really wish it was added in more places. With an empty hand while laying down double click a tile adjacent to you and you will move to it at slower than walking speed. (to prevent crawling at sanic speeds) You wouldn't be able to use it for the entire duration of stuns and for a few seconds after initially laying down. That way if you are slipped and if that slip doesn't add a stun for some reason it won't completely ruin the clown trying to steal your ID by you just crawling away. Now you can try to desperately escape doom if you get your leg blown off as a miner or if somebody is ruthlessly toolboxing you to death just out of everyone elses earshot. 3, functional painting: This is probably from a coding POV the hardest to implement but I mean COME ON! I tried to use the easel the other day and I have no idea if its functional or not and I doubt it being so because even the art vender didn't sell canvas.
  18. The Skrell, to name one. The Dionae and Slime people might be up there, too. I would say IPCs, but I'm fairly certain I'm false. Besides, it makes SENSE that NanoTrasen doesn't like aliens. They're the exact image of a greedy, expansionist and imperialistic (maybe even evil) corporation. They want to turn a profit, not promote equality, so it makes sense that they'd exploit inferior and less-advanced civilizations and species. That's so... Insanely overdone. And stupidly grimdark. Eh, either way, it's kind of the least of my complaints about this lore rewrite. *Additionally it makes NO fucking sense. I see Tajara and Vulpkanin captains all the dang time. I'm sure I've even seen a Vox one a few times. While I haven't read the lore for Tajara and Vulpkanin before the revamp I'm going to assume NanoTrasen treats their species as a whole badly but individuals don't matter. Kind of like most modern societies with enemies. Nobody hates the citizens of the DPRK but as a country as a whole it is heavily disliked by pretty much everyone. (I could be talking complete BS right now because like I said I haven't read the lore but I think when we were doing the rewrite we decided it needed an entire revamp for almost every race anyway.)
  19. That's what you may think, but Admins have a strict policy on that. In example, I accidently once typed ghost instead of give as a Traitor and were put back into my body 10 seconds and I got almost all of my objectives changed because I COULD have gone searching for him during that. You can not 100% say that the ghosts did not search for something, in which the Admins then are forced to assume that they have if you can't proove they didn't because they could have a major advantange by being ghosts, and if you talk abou tthoose alt-tab outted ghosts, what are they supposed to do if they are being picked as antags? Because they're basically just AFK, because there are lots of ghosts that are literally doing something else than playing and maybe just miss the whole round while they're picked as antags or something. You could say to now insert a "Join antag" box, but problem #1 would still exist. I think we should at least make cult more often and merge traders with something more stealthy which ends in boring rounds like traitor, have some of it crisscross between them like having to assassinate a vox trader or keep an abduction target on the station alive. Everyone knows what to do against cult but almost every cult fails because everyone is experienced against them while no cult members themselves know what to do. From my 3 failed cult rounds (which is the only antag I really ever want to be, my character is kind of infatuated with NarSie and cult sects) I know that is absolutely true. Nobody knows how to even remove runes or use them properly. Hell even I don't know how to use runes properly and it is my most common and favorite antag so far. Usually all we ever get done is word research before we are all converted or killed by security. (or some asshole griefs the server and causes the shuttle to be called 5 minutes in like my third cult round.)

Never said that, spending karma to buy a race just like any other karma race except instead of starting the round with an advantage you are a race which can't wear hardsuits, gasmasks or use human weapons because you don't have enough weapons. To counter that you get some abilities that make you useful but not so useful that everyone would want to be one. To me that sounds balanced and if anything more of a slight disadvantage.

Sounds interesting, not quite like the one I suggested since they are essentially a hostile race turned subservient and just used for their unique ability to control vortessence (like healing, hive mind and electric bolts) And even harvested as living batteries. But I like that idea too, If you want I could try doing a sprite but I might need a little more detailed explanation. What do you mean snake like mid section? Instead of a torso they are just super thin? Or is it actually snakelike like scaled and such?

  23. No idea what that is but it looks nice. Also feminine so not something my characters would wear This is kind of fan art. Not really going to suggest any of the items there but if somebody wants to add them you can bet that is how my character would look.
