This one time there was an antag that was getting cocky with security and was PDA'ing me saying that trying to arrest him would be futile and bloodbath and all that stuff, but I couldn't be sure of what type of threat he was, what weapons and that kind of stuff, so I couldn't make up a plan with a decent enough chance of success. My interpretation of default is that I am here to serve the crew as a whole. Opening the bridge to the clown doesn't serve the crew, locking down a traitor with something dangerous, does. And if he's exceptionally violent and destructive, I might even bat an eye at a lynching. The whole protect the station doesn't allow me to kill anyone though, there's far better way to stop them usually. Will I ignore screams for help while I am trying to contain a breach? Yes. Tough luck.
Different people have slightly different interpretations of the laws, and that's the !!FUN!! of playing AI.

There's a threat analysis to be done. If the nukies think the pod would be a threat, they have means to counter it. It's up to them to decide to ignore it or circumvent it. They can even bypass the entire problem by teleporting into the bridge, like many have done before. Same thing applies on the other end, if security knows or suspects the nukies have a borg/mech, they should probably take the ion out, and it will be up to them if they decide to ignore it /(can't really circumvent a nukie mech can you?
