  1. I think the vent issue is beet solved by atmos fuckery rather than touching the spiders.

Personally, I would like to see the return of the slingshot pipe unwrenching thing, and also a new thing:

Welding shut vents would increaser the associated pipe net pressure due to degraded release of the pressure (assuming pumps would be kept on). Increasing thr number of weld shut vents would increase the rate the pressure builds up. The pipes themselves would have their limit pressure (different pipes could have different pressures like a curved pipe wiuld have a lower limit than a straight), and when the limit is exceeded the pipe would burst. The actual bursting would fling off the pipe possibly impaling the clown that was watching it, damage the floor, maybe even breach it, but most importantly, it would now start to leak whatever was in the pipe at the pressure it had. Now the atmos in the area is proper fucked. Unwrenching would also have the same leak effect, but without the bursting i guess.

This way you solve both the over welding problem and the unwrenching problem.

Of course the issue is that atmos code is a nightmare

  2. probably more interesting to have an actual bleed rate per limb rather than arbitrary smol bleed and big boi bleed. like a paper cut would bleed 1u per idk 1 minute, a gun wound another value, an amputation an over the top value, etc. wounds would stack bleed rates, etc

  3. uuhhhhhhh shouldnt escaping from the cell be added the remaining time? ie for a 10 minute sentence, escaping during the first minute would turn it into a net 20 minute sentence, while escaping at the last minute would make it a net 11 minute, makes sense no?

  4. should probably include damaging borgs in damaging station assets, and killing or emagging sabotage, or something like that. Right now damaging cyborgs is in an annoying grey area where some people call it assault (on an officer if its a secborg sometimes) and just vandalism, clarity would be niceInsert other media

  5. i could get behind mutadone not fixing char setup disabilities, not more than that. Otherwise you get incurable hulks no?

even so it requires a pretty significant refactor of disabilities and char setup code

  6. I'm ok with this as long as it's a high treshold, idk like 50 to OD, just because that saline heals more the more there is of it in the mob, which is a thing that should be respected.

i'm mostly ok because of the possibilities of pointing and laughing at people who raid the medbay fridge just in case and end up dying of it

  7. Lets put this under perspective, here is a list of syndicate items that deal 75 damage or around it or more or instagib or you get the point, and their cost:

    • His Grace - 20TC, and even so, you need to stun the guy first
    • Power Gloves, maybe, if the engine is hotwired or something stupid - 10TC
    • Revolver, assuming no armour - 13TC + 4TC for each speedloader if you fancy it

that's it really, I can't think of any changeling or vamp or cult abilities that deal around 75 damage instantly

You are defending that something you can manufacture for zero TCs, indefinitely for the duration of the round as long as you have chem access, can compete and even outshine the above?

  8. you're looking at this the wrong way, don't compare air by pressure, pressure is dependant on temperature. Compare it by moles instead, and it will be very obvious why volume pumps annihilate pressure pumps during plasma fires, and other scenarios where you are actually venting rooms

  9. output, point is that heated gases will expand, meaning higher pressure. The pressure pump will be pumping less air if it's heated because of this. Conversely, if the air is super cooled, the pressure pump would pump more air than the volume pump, which is something that isn't seen often, now that I think about it.

If you got on a plane for a flight and the captain said, "Welcome aboard! Please fasten your seatbelts so when we crash, you don't go flying out of your seat and break your neck against the ceiling!"

You fasten your seatbelts in a plane so that if/when it enters moderate to severe turbulence you don't hit the ceiling and break your neck and die. They won't help you in a crash, unless they're the harness type, and even so...

As for cloning, it's a player mentality thing. That allied to the fact that you need to basically die next to someone with a defib for it to be of any use (seriously, the time is too short to be of any use). Over the past months people have been arriving in medbay around 3 to 5 minutes past their time of death. Of course that means the cloner will be used more.
