    Having the overlay without firing at all would put the person using it at a severe disadvantage. I think the best route is letting them fire once. The sound of shooting would let then know to stop targetting, and they could click again to reaquire the target.

     

    +1 for neca's idea. A targeting mode that only fires one shot would be good.

    I agree. Currently sec hailers are ridiculously hostile sounding always: "YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO SHUT THE FUCK UP".

     

    I'd love for two settings: Polite and Shitcurity, changed with a screwdriver.

     

    Polite would be the default, saying things like "Please come quietly" and "Stop running". Shitcurity would be what it currently says, plus stuff like "I AM THE LAW".

     

  3. I don't care if they've decided on linda. ZAS is better and that's the better option, in my opinion. IT does matter and if the community thinks it should be changed that should be taken into consideration

    Our current atmos system, LINDA, is great for exactly one thing: plasma. Other than plasma, linda fails at everything. IT makes an atmos techs job so easy it's ridiculous, it removes the dangers of breaking into space, and it basically makes atmospherics extremely unrealistic.

     

    On the other hand, ZAS had its share of problems, but it didn't have the glaring problems LINDA does. I am for re-adding back ZAS and getting rid of LINDA.

    "SYNDICATE BOMB IN BAR" screams the clown, after seeing one of the classic bartender drinks. What if these "syndicate bombs" were actually a real syndicate bomb?

     

    A bartender should be able to order a bomb roughly the strength of a pizza bomb, disguised as one of these devious drinks. Upon trying to drink one of these bombs, the bomb would explode in the persons face, dealing severe damage.

    This would bring new meaning to the phrase " SYNDICATE BOMBS IN THE BAR".

    I don't know if you guys could find the code for it, but Apollo station's supermatter had a really awesome explosion mechanic that should be added.

     

    The idea was that the supermatter imploded rather than exploded. What would happen is the supermatter would have a gravity effect(exactly like a high level singulo, causing walls and computers to move), and then after a few seconds of this, the super matter would explode. This looked extremely cool.

    What if instead of adding more languages, make it so non-humans have to either select their species language as a secondary or select Sol common as a secondary.

     

    Basically, this would mean nonhumans would have to not speak their species' language if they wanted to speak tradeband.

    If tasers get their instastun removed, then flashes need to get their instastun back.

     

    Flashes used to be what made security able to be good. Tasers and stunbatons can be used against people. Flashes were great because they caused instastun, but the items which stopped a flash were acquirable. Yes, you can make a shitload of chemicals to stop instastun, but you have to be a chemist or a scientist to make them without suspicion.

     

    I would support tasers being made into disablers completely if and only if flashes regain instastun.

    I have tried my hand at BYOND code and created three new chemicals for us to play with. As far as I can tell, I've fixed the bugs in the code.

    This information is posted in the pull request, but I'll post it here as well, for clarity's sake.

    Adds seratonin, ecstasy, and depressonium. May have some errors with backslash placement because i am new to byond coding.

     

    Seratonin is intended to cause smiling and laughing, and causes twitching, excessive smiling, and brain damage when ODed. Addiction causes you to cry a lot, and less brain damage.

     

    Ecstasy has a superhigh metabolization rate, to the point where it leaves the body the second it enters it. IT creates 80 units of seratonin and 20 units of depressonium.

     

    Depressonium has a low metabolization rate and causes stamina loss, crying and twitching, and the production of vodka to make the host drunken. This only happens when there is no seratonin to counteract it. It also heals the brain damage caused by seratonin.

     

    Other people are free to fix and balance the terrible mistakes I probably made while coding this.
