In addition, being caught committing a Major Crime or higher with any of these items makes you an Enemy of the Corporation as well.
It says about the Major Crime right there.
The problem is that on the contraband wiki it says any crime, this is the point of contention.

I believe it's:
1 Contraband -> Breach of Possession of Contraband
2 UNIQUE Contraband (Duplicates don't count) -> EoC
1 Restricted Syndi Weapon/Gadget -> EoC
Using 1 contraband to commit a major crime -> EoC
I think the mistake is in the contraband wiki, so you can't just say someone is an EoC for emag-ing a hallway door if all they have is an emag, but you can if they emag into somewhere like the bridge.
That's the way I've always interpreted it, I'm sure Tully will tell me if I am wrong.

@VivalasI don't think it would make it that much easier, it doesn't happen too much at the minute anyway and the people that do it aren't suddenly going to do it more.
I like the idea of this change, but I think walking speed might be a bit too slow. Although... the possibility of a cop cart to transport prisoners seems pretty cool to me too.

I think Neca put it best for me. There's a lot of generalisation that goes on, on both sides.
One thing I would ask, to turn this around. Security has a very high turnover rate. This could be seen as one of the causes for the problems being suggested. In your opinion, what is the reason behind the high turnover rate?

First was Brig Physician if i recall, my gateway into playing security.
The latest one was Plasmaman! And i'm really enjoying playing as one.
Next.. I think i'll wait and save up. I have all the jobs and I don't want any other races.

Looking forward to it!

Tate Power :
ESFP
Extravert(47%) Sensing(19%) Feeling(34%) Perceiving(16%)
You have moderate preference of Extraversion over Introversion (47%)
You have slight preference of Sensing over Intuition (19%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (34%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (16%)
Me:
INTP
Introvert(12%) iNtuitive(25%) Thinking(44%) Perceiving(6%)
You have slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (12%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (25%)
You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (44%)
You have slight preference of Perceiving over Judging (6%)
Sounds about right.

In terms of placement, the current setup with the new brig is working well I think. Interrogation actually gets used and the bigger processing room is used more as a holding cell for quick searches and clarifications/questions, since any items can easily be but in the nearby new evidence room.
In regards to the pileup, I think that's due mainly to the fact the for the more important cases, you often will have an officer or two, the Warden, and the HoS all in the big processing room with the perp. They don't all need to be there, but of course people are curious and want to see what happens. Then you get officers bringing in people for more minor crimes, and seeking clarification or at least acknowledgement from the Warden or HoS as to the charges and whatnot, which is where you see the pileup.
As usual, this can be helped by good record keeping. It really does streamline the whole thing if people dont have to keep asking about charges and crimes. Not even just the crimes, but the sentence, anything important to do with that case.
As an addendum: I've been thinking about working on some changes to the sec records system, or at least adding some more functionality to the sec PDA's in terms of records. For example a list of current warrants, that kind of thing.

That's how they sell them pretty much everywhere, yeah.

Baguette in the south where I am. Although I did here it get called a frenchstick much more around Lancashire.
-
Security Officer or Pod Pilot.
I really like working in a big team like in security where communication plays a huge factor!
-
I look forward to seeing the rest of this.... Hehehehe.

I believe it refers to Martin Shkreli.
-
And that one time you got put into the body of Harry Houdini. That was fun times.
-
Why would it need to be karma-locked?
-
Drain Bamage?
Two seperate surgeries for that
Skull and Brain
Target the head
Scalpel -> Hemostat -> Retractor -> Saw -> Retractor -> Trauma Kit -> Retractor -> Bone Gel -> Bone Gel -> Bone Setter -> Bone Gel -> Cautery
That will fix the skull and repair both the brain and eyes.
Remember to make sure the head brute damage is not over 18 (i think) or the skull will rebreak!
Next is
Facial Reconstruction
To be used if they are showing up as Uknown(as BLARGH BLARGH)
Target the mouth
Scalpel -> Hemostat -> Retractor -> Cautery

Slade "The Diplomat" Williams
I think that fits.
I play Tate Power, by the way.

There is nothing wrong with that, but one data point does not disprove a hypothesis.

Oh neca, I was the brig physician chatting with you. I had no idea you WEREN'T an actual operative. I had just joined.
Nice chatting though.

I would be happy to commit to play on a second server to help populate it.

Some guilty consciences here.

I agree with a lot that has been said here already, and in my mind there are a few things responsible for this.
The first thing is the sheer popularity of the server these days. This is a good thing, but as we know, it brings a lot of griefers/greytide. Jack, I understand your feelings about playing sec recently completely. Recently there has been a huge amount of players that I HATE dealing with in the brig. They will resist, attempt to escape, scream, kill themselves, anything but sit there and wait or talk with me. Most of them will then continue doing whatever caused them to be brigged in the first place upon release. I wouldn't mind this so much if security was kept more in the loop about the actual focus of the round. As Jack mentioned, more often than not the Captain and the rest will be the ones that drag the antags in and proceed to deal with them.
Which brings me to my second point. The close-knit, isolated, heads of staff groups. I've noticed recently that there are a lot of 'famous characters' that will join a round as civilians or assistants and be given some trusted higher 'position' . This leads to a group of heads (and entourage) that barely communicate with anyone else and deal with things themselves.
I think we need more restrictions on the crew. Regarding the above, and also regarding the default position and attitude towards antags.

The OS changes are a godsend, no longer will I have to sell my soul to Microsoft.
And now I can finally RP my Kidan character like I have always wanted to.
Coming back, whats new?

Hey friends,
I used to play security exclusively when I was playing on Paradise about a year ago, and recently got the urge to hop back into ss13 again. What's new in security these days, any crazy changes in the past year, any new regular troublemakers I should be watching out for, that sort of thing.
Looking forward to playing with you all again :)
