  1. The Owl, the Feathered Knight, it was already done. It's pretty easy to become one, but are you worthy your title? The last Feathered Knight i saw died a pathetic death shocked on a grille (it was totally not me, i swear).
  2. So what do you want? extended? meteor? Blob is a gamemode like any other, we got 3 blob rounds in a row, so what? it happens. See a blob? Get a damn welder, an axe, a lasergun, whatever and FIGHT FOR YOUR HONOR! NO DAMN COSMIC MUCUS EATING MY STATION!
  3. An obvious use for adamantine would be making Knight armors and Thunder Hammers of course. But noooo... it needs to be balanced or it will be gamebreaking. >
  4. We already handled that, please, do not bring it to the forums. This was a sad situation when no admins nor mods were online, we try to avoid such situations but we are still human beings and we need to sleep and to eat (that will be fixed soon).
  5. We did this already at least once, the science department failed horribly, the RD was beheaded and the 3 only survivors hid in the science outpost. If everybody follows the simple rules and light RP it can be a very fun event.
  6. The HoS has Tom in the vault, and the captain has his beloved rubber ducky in his batroom.
  7. The research department already has enough OP toys to play with. What about ghetto augmentations!? Can i have a makeshift screwdriver-shooting semi-automatic crossbow mounted on my shoulder? I want a makeshift screwdriver-shooting semi-automatic crossbow mounted on my shoulder. Space carps beware! Witness your doooooooooom!
  8. If you want it to be usefull, combine it with Asimov's lawset.
  9. Actually, i like the idea. Making a stylish coat out of the HoS's skin, delightful... Or even better, we should use this with the new magic system: cut the human skin into squares, sew them togheter into a book, use Betsy's blood as ink and write the Necronomicon. Don't forget to laugh madly before summoning Nar-Sie.
  10. Hardsuit inmune to tassers and batons? Yes please, is not enough the fact it's already hard to catch me as CE with my permanent space gear and my obsession for the hand-tele, if you make me inmune to those stuns, the security would need to kill me to arrest me The last time someone managed to arrest me as CE, he needed to shoot me three lasers and then almost choke me to death to keep me down. Buff the hardsuits more please, not like the CE hardsuit is already something like a riot armor.
  11. Baystation-code\code\modules\surgery\braincore.dm->line 170. There's the actual code. Make sure you're using the upated code. And yeah, usually when playing xenobio the dead slimes pile up when you're using more than 3 pens. But hey, did you think it would be easy? Actually, that stress feeling when dealing with too much slimes and they start to breaking windows is pretty climatic. Try to get a helper (slave) to clear the pens of dead slimes, process the corpses (both slimes and monkeys) and you would just feed the slimes, kill the unwanted ones and transfer the slimes from pen to pen. You're working with fast-reproducing, always-hungry, half-sentient, alien creatures after all, it must be hard. But with the updated rules, if you manage to get few gold cores to the shuttle, you will have your reward. :]
  12. This guide is good, let's make it even better! Few things i would like to point: -Disability: Coughing: You start coughing: each time you cough you drop items, that includes that "clean" SE you're trying to inject. -Side-effects: This is the greatest danger in genetics. Each time you inject someone with the DNA injector, there's a small chance he will get a side effect, this does not depend of what the injector has, it just happens. The side effects can be easily countered with basic chems, and they have a limited duration, so they won't last forever if left untreated: Genetic burn: Subject's skin turns unusualy red.. This will quickly give you a lot of burn damage all over your body, Dexalin stops the effect, but you can counter it with Dermaline to heal the damage too. You can also just jump into cryo. Confuse: Subject starts drooling uncontrollably.: This one will also make you fall down for a moment. To counter it, you need to have Anti-toxin in your bloodstream WHEN IT FINISHES, that means you don't need to inject anti-tox inmediatly. I'm not sure of the actual duration, though (because what ##duration = 10*30## means? is that in tics? seconds?). If you get the final effect, you'll be confused, that means you won't able to walk normally, and you will walk in a random direction each time you make a step. Luckily, you don't need to move a lot as a geneticist, so you can just wait it out, and keep irradiating that monkey. Bone Snap:Subject's limbs tremble notably. (not sure if this is the actual text, but it's close enough). This will break one of your bones when the side-effect finishes. You need Bicaridine in your bloodstream to prevent the bone snap, which is found in the sleepers, but you need another person to inject you the chems with the sleeper. And you better heal it, scream "SLEEPER BICARD" over the radio if needed, the surgeon is sick of fixing broken bones. Monkey: Subject starts drooling uncontrollably.. Look at that, it's looks identical to the "confusion" side-effect, but this won't make you fall down (it could be actually the other way around, monkey makes you fall, and confussion does not, not sure). Luckily, you need the same: Anti-toxin. But make sure to get a lot of it, you should have two bottles in the medical locker in genetics, and more everywhere in the medbay. This also checks if the anti-tox is in the bloodstream when it finishes, so, if you don't inject enough you could still be turned into a monkey (two pills WON'T be enough, swallow the entire medkit just in case!). And if ou become monkey, you can actually be humanized back via Clean SE, but it will make the human catatonic, AKA it will just ghost you. So, try how it is being a monkey, maybe you will even like it! Monkeys can still get some powers, like telepathy to talk to people. -Also, about the DAC thing, i once managed to give coldness resistance to three people with a B33. Yes, i'm confused too. -And seems even blind you can still operate the DNA-computer, make a clean SE and inject it, you won't see the "is trying to inject" message though.
  13. A big advantage? not really, it would just make hacking doors easier. So yeah, it's probably not worth the code. But how much would ponies hate me if i request it as fluff item?
  14. Year 2557, everybody can have robotics limbs if he wish to. But what if I need more than two arms? Could i have another arm, like on my shoulder or on my back? So this is my suggestion: a new item, a robotic engineering arm (it is NOT the regular robotic arm made in the fabricator ). Avaiable only for engineers because few of them would spawn in the engineering lockers. The sprite (if any is ever made) would be a robotic arm above the head, like the medibot's arm. (*cough* techpriest *cough*) It could be an attachment to the jumpsuit, like the tie or the webbing. It would make a third hand slot avaiable, on the HUD the new slot could be located left of the head slot or above it. If you want to add a recipe to make it, i would say it could be a robotic arm, left or right (the one made in the fabricator) and some R&D thing, like a manipulator or something. After all, the roboticist could use it too. Before you yell "OP!!11!", the robotic arm CAN'T hold every item the normal hands can, it can only hold things you can put in the toolbelt, that means: wrenches, crowbars, T-ray scanners and stuff like that. It won't hold a riot shield or your backpack. Only tools. And of course, you can use this tools on the robotic arm as they would be in your regular hand. I don't know the BYOND code, but i realise that coding this can be a pain in the ass, is a third hand slot after all. Also, i'm sorry for my english, i hope you didn't cry too much blood.
