  1. This, while an interesting concept, sounds like a nightmare on future mappers. Every time you add or remove a new thing from secure storage mapping, you'd need to update this list, unless you had it auto-generate each round (which seems somewhat silly).

Frankly, the CE should perhaps take it upon themselves to compile this list manually at the beginning of their shift so they can have something to do after setting up the engine and waiting for the inevitable hole to appear in the hull where toxins used to be.

Allowing traitors to just kill X number of people unrelated to their objective will not create tension in the sense you desire. It will create tension between players and between players and admins on a meta level since it will turn into accusations of meta-grudges, favoritism, and general shittery.

    Quote

This removes a large aspect of the game which is not being 100% certain your fellow man is trustworthy. As long as you late join as a non head crew member you can be certain that traitors will not target you because they risk the chance of getting banned if they do.

This assertion is an outright fallacy, and here's why: Auto-traitor makes new traitors based off population. When a new crew member joins, the system checks to see if it is at a population worthy of a new antag, and creates one with brand new objectives if it finds that it is in fact time for one. This means you could latejoin and find yourself being hunted by AT LEAST one traitor. Also consider the fact that if your target goes to cryo and is removed from the game through the cryodorms, it will assign you a new target from ANY crew member (there's been times it has attempted to even target admins in the admin rooms), so you could find yourself being targeted after some random person goes to cryo if they happened to be a target. Even then, hijack means everyone is fair game, so you could simply be unfortunate enough to latejoin into an outright rampage by a hijack traitor and would be considered a valid target for them to murder.

    Quote

The proposed change would be a policy that allows antags three kills regardless of their objectives. this would mean a few things, first and foremost you will not be able to completely trust your fellow crew members and have to rely on role playing and watching their behavior to see if they are really a normal crew member or a threat to you. Secondly security would be less powerful, with more people dying they have to deal with more investigations, more investigations mean antags that prefer a stealthy approach can find an opening in the chaos to make their move. Thirdly it would free up time for admins to look into other issues in more detail since antags don't have to be looked after as long as they stay within the other rules and don't go past three kills + possibly their objective.

In the order you presented them, I shall now counter each of your three points.

    1. You already can't trust your coworkers for the reasons stated in my previous paragraph. Giving antags 3 free kills doesn't really change this, but instead would encourage the average crew member to arm themselves "for self defense" when they have little evidence to support they are in fact being targetted (such as a failed attempt prior). In turn, this propagates a valid-hunter mentality and a sense of "kill them before they kill us" against all antags regardless of objectives which is something we've been making strides to cut down and eliminate as best as possible. The reason it would propagate such thoughts is because people will begin to view "self-defense" as being a reasonable justification to hunt down antags before they can truly strike. There is no tension to be gained by powergaming valid hunters eliminating any and every antag early on.
    2. Security would not devote more time to investigations because more people are dying. This is a bit of a logical paradox, since you'd believe that higher crime would warrant higher levels of investigation, yet the higher crime would mean they have less time to investigate because they are being constantly pulled around to the next crime scene. While it would be nice to see more investigation, this ultimately would just lead to harsher security handling things in less than ideal manners, such as strip searching everyone they meet, treating all minor crimes as major ones to try and process of elimination the culprits via brute force methods, and of course outright killing everyone they manage to catch as an actual antagonist. Execution rules would slow this last point, but that mentality would quickly spread to magistrates and captains, so security would reasonably GAIN power by allowing antags 3 free kills by encouraging them to be a lot harsher with any crime they come across.
    3. Freeing up admin time is a bit laughable as a reason to allow 3 free kills, since you would then need to somehow track all the kills made by a given antag. In your example of a station population of 80 and 8 traitors, this means 24 kills that need to be tracked before any sort of punishment becomes an option. You also then are faced with conflicting views on the matter, such as "does their objective count as one of the free kills?", "what if a victim is revived and killed again, is it another kill or just reinforcing the original?", and "what if the kill IS related to their objective (killing the CE for his boots), does it count as a free kill or no?". This will lead to more confusion overall, plus players becoming increasingly agitated by admins effectively telling them "you were his second kill, so he's allowed" and feeling that there is (even if there isn't) favoritism between the admin and that particular antag player.

So yea, I really don't care for these suggestions. The 3 ID steal is a neat concept for a new objective, but requiring the identity theft victims be killed is effectively just going to turn it into "murder 3 random civvies and make everyone think it's a hijack", which simply won't add much depth to the shift's roleplay potential.

  3. As it stands, Skrell have DIET_HERB, meaning they cannot gain nutrition from protein. This doesn't prevent them from trying to eat it, just as nothing seems to stop my dogs from trying to eat grass when it simply makes them throw up, but they get no real benefit from doing so. I considered a number of approaches when I made the species diet system, including making them outright incapable of metabolizing the reagent (which was bad since they'd be able to literally fill their reagent capacity with protein over time and it would never deplete) and making them suffer toxins from "improper" dietary reagents. Ultimately, I decided that the toxin idea was also bad since it was punishing people for eating mixed reagent foods like stew (due to reagent inheritance from ingredients, this ends up with nutriment, plant matter, and protein in the same food item) and pretty much demanded that you eat only a handful of "safe" foods like jerky or raisins if you were a non-omnivore.

On the topic of you point regarding virus immunity, this is a tricky thing. Technically, under the old virus system, skrell were not inherently immune to disease as a racial feature. Instead, viruses would have a list of species they affected, which would be randomly determined when the virus is generated. A virologist, with enough samples and patience, could collect virus traits (or whatever you want to call them) for each of the virus-vulnerable races and splice together a virus that affects almost every race on the station. The random event viral outbreak would simply generate a random set of virus traits (with a couple blacklisted symptoms like gibbingtons, if memory serves) including which races were vulnerable to this. This means you could end up, due to RNG, with a virus that affected every vulnerable race except skrell, a virus that ONLY affected skrell, or some other combination of affected species simply BY CHANCE.  Our new virus system doesn't support racial virus targeting like that, so we'd have to either adjust it so they start resistant to certain pre-defined diseases or give them a sort of "racial resistance" which simply lowers the chance they contract a disease (but still could) when exposed to it.

As for the gag reflex... that just seems weird. Vomit on its own actually doesn't cure toxins. This is a misconception.

  4. Most organs can be converted from the normal organ pathing into a food pathing, which in turn would allow you to deep-fry them or eat them raw.

Yes, this means you can rip the heart out of your assassination victim and then eat it to gain his power. You can't do this with brains, since that would be really shitty since you can't turn the item back into an organ once it is considered food.

  5. Definitely a neat idea... reminds me of the ideas to make ghetto armor vests by combining some tape, metal sheets, and a hazard vest together,

Probably would need to limit how many modifications an item can support, possibly based on the item's slot... Gloves can't support much, but a jumpsuit can support more since it is bigger.

There already are some sprites somewhere for "tattered" jumpsuits which look like they suffered a major space bear mauling... could be interesting to have clothes lose durability over time and eventually be nothing more than tattered rags which confer none of their normal bonuses until repaired.

This might work a bit better if the uniform slot was actually 2 slots... top and bottom. Jumpsuits would fill both slots, but things like the Ian shirt or jeans would only fill one of the slots. Could lend more mixing and matching to what you are wearing and let people develop their own "styles" better.

  6. The Missionary Set (Staff, Robes, and a standard bible) is a 15 TC purchase available only to the chaplain. This is 75% of your TC for what is effectively a re-usable mindslave which can only be recharged while you are wearing the robes and holding the staff. They also are obtainable from a surplus crate, which is all your TC for a CHANCE to get one.

    • You cannot convert people who are already mindslaves or zealots (though ironically you can convert a vampire's thrall), and attempting to do so wastes 25 of your current faith reserves.
    • Attempting to convert a person with a mindshield implant has an 80% chance to fail and waste 75 faith, and uses extra faith if you manage to succeed which results in a longer recharge time. Additionally, if you succeed, the zealot only remains under your sway for 5 minutes, half the normal zealot duration.
    • Attempting to convert the librarian or psychologist has a 35% chance to fail and waste 50 faith.

Converting a victim requires they remain within view of you for 4 seconds, during which time you cannot move or swap hands off the staff. Getting bumped by a passerby is enough to break your concentration, causing the attempt to fail. Losing sight of the victim makes you lose 25 faith, but you don't lose faith if your concentration is broken.

The robes recharge their staff at a rate of 5 faith per object process (roughly 2 seconds) as long as the robes are worn and the staff is within 3 tiles of the wearer, and you must have 100 faith in order to convert someone. This means, on average, you can convert 1 person each minute, and the average duration of conversion is 10 minutes.

When I coded the item, I specifically made the conversion message say "You now must lay down your life to protect them and assist in their goals at any cost." because religious fervor can convince people to do some VERY stupid things in the name of their god. However, you are still not mindless, it doesn't say you must follow their every word exactly. If a chaplain tells you to kill yourself for him, you are well within rights to attempt to persuade him you are more use to him alive than dead. If you are his assassination target, you don't have to use the suicide verb because he tells you to, you could bash your face in with a fire extinguisher instead... In the end you being dead is what his goal was.

As for being unable to tell when someone is a zealot... Their jumpsuit's inventory icon will change to red or blue (depending on the color of the missionary staff used), though this does require taking the item off them to check. I never did get it to work where the on-mob sprite recolored properly...

In short, the item(s) are powerful, which is why they cost so much and are only reliably available to a single job. The item isn't the issue, it's the mentality of the users and victims.

  7. You can already rename foods. Use a pen on it. Now instead of "Brain Burger", you can name it "Vegan's Nightmare", "Zombie Chow", or "Chef's Surprise". You can also literally put your name on a bag of chips so your friend feels guilty for eating your chips (but not enough to stop them from doing it anyways).

I definitely agree there needs to be a way to clean those damn plates though.

  8. 24 words: The deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried deep fried nuclear authentication disk.

(But really, we used to have shitlers who would steal and deepfry just about anything because it was a grief-y and irreversible way to destroy things like PDAs, the captain's spare ID, sec's batons, and so forth; same reason we had to take away the ability to put non-foods on plates.)

  9. This would be like when miners would seek out facehugger treasure rooms on the asteroid so they could play an alien.

We ended up making it so the larva is a random ghost rather than the person who was infected, and we STILL were seeing a lot of miners willfully returning to station once infected to start infestations. A more reliable way of triggering them is just a BAD IDEA to me, since you know it will become an almost every-shift thing.

  10. I have to disagree with the original poster's assertion that nobody would try to just kill everyone because they believe they have no backup. If anything, I feel it would actually encourage that mentality because they know they have no one to bail them out if they get busted.

As for the no codewords thing, you'd have to actually adjust the code of making traitors to not include codewords, so this would be beyond a simple event... it'd have to be a code-supported thing akin to a gamemode. Additionally, every round now provides a number of crew with codewords due to the "potential collaborator" anti-meta stuff that was added when we gave collaborators access to a single codeword set, so you'd have to also adjust THAT.

Reading your suggestion, it seems more like you are suggesting a new round type than an event... which means this thread is better suited for the Suggestions forum than the Event Suggestions forum.

Additionally, technically hijack succeeds if everyone on the shuttle is syndicate... which in this case damn near everyone would be. Hijack would literally become "Escape alive" and make sure sec doesn't.

  11. You actually can emit electrical shocks similar to a tesla orb or power gloves via a chemical reaction (https://github.com/ParadiseSS13/Paradise/blob/ecaf9eb71582ae8fb5ca4015b445842c837ec33d/code/modules/reagents/chemistry/recipes/pyrotechnics.dm#L392), though this is unlikely in to be something you'd commonly see in the first place. It also has a reaction message so it would be a bit more obvious that it was the reaction and not another source.

Just wanted to toss that in to clear up your last bit about being impossible to emit tesla shocks, as it is possible.

  12. Apologies for taking so long to reply, I was unavailable due to my job for the majority of the day.

I believe I pointed out exactly how you breached Rule 4, as well as how it was considered racism and bigotry, here:

While a slur was not explicitly used, it was clear that your statement was meant to strike out at the communities associated with the regions and ethnic backgrounds you cited in your initial message.

In case this is still not fully clear, allow me to put it in smaller, simpler terms: You targeted a group of people of a different race and attempted to collectively degrade them for being members of that group. That's pretty much the textbook definition of racism and bigotry.

I read the rules and continue to on new changelogs. This paragraph is another personal attack.

I'm not sure if you simply forgot a line before this one or if you just oddly spaced everything and this was a continuation of your previous thought. In either case, reading the changelog has absolutely no impact on any ability to understand the rules, nor was it relevant to this complaint in any discernible manner.

    12 hours ago, Qsleepy said:

Not ONCE did the admin specify which rule was broken, but for me to try checking somewhere after rule three sarcastically.

While it may not have been clear, I do not believe Darklordpyro meant for his suggestion to be sarcastic. He may have been a bit unnecessarily vague, but "after three" would quite clearly begin with Rule 4. You chose to view this as avoiding telling you which rule you violated, yet he DID direct you to the exact rule through simple numerical progression.

I clearly state in my OP that I don't want to be unbanned. The server kills time I should be doing productive things, and honestly more than that it wouldn't feel the same anymore knowing some of the personalities in this threads true colors over something so absurdly minuscule.

I am quite aware of that fact, though you seem to have missed the part where I mentioned "contesting the validity of the ban", which appears to be all you have done in this thread beyond reporting every single administrator's post you disagree with and spew even more intolerant drivel.

    12 hours ago, Qsleepy said:

I didn't post further statements, only acknowledging the fact that I got admooned over, "hate speech". Basically you are saying here if I would have just taken my ideological wrist slapping, all of this would never of happened? Well of course. What does that have to do with anything?

I never accused you of having continued to post such statements. Rather, I pointed out that if you had not attempted to garner yet more attention and possible backing from OOC you would not have been banned as the issue of the initial statement was already settled with a warning and a note on your account. Your insistence to attempt to shame Darklordpyro for doing the job he has generously volunteered his time to perform and attempt to turn the server against him for it was what earned you the ban. In more colloquial terms: Don't shake the hornets' nest unless you want to get stung. This was a scenario in which you dug yourself a deeper hole and swatted away those who attempted to prevent you from trapping yourself in it.

    12 hours ago, Qsleepy said:

Also, your conjecture is vapid. My account shows years of rule compliance, as well I have helped many times on the server to assist you guys in making gameplay go smoothly and report rule breakers.

Ignoring the obvious hypocrisy in your replies regarding personal attacks, a history of compliance does not justify a willing breach of the rules and subsequent argument that you did not in fact breach the rules. If anything, this should be more concerning, since your claim of rule compliance would imply that you are at the very least aware of the extent of our rules so that you would not overstep those bounds.

Further, these are the notes currently on your account:

Permanently banned - When warned about a post in OOC, went on next round to complain about it like the warning was unjust and that they were "Warned for stating facts.", said post in OOC was this: OOC: Qsleepy: its crazy how controversial talking about how low Asian and African IQs are and how the average is what we consider to be mildly mentally retarded in the west. Please take a long read of the rules on the forums before making an appeal for this ban. by darklordpyro on 2017-04-08 22:40:25 (Server: Paradise Station)

That first note mistakenly believed you to be a newer player at the time, since the admin who placed it did not check your account age.

    Account Creation Date: 2014-01-10

    qsleepy is 1185 days old.

The first line of that is when your byond account was created, and the second is the number of days that have passed since your account first accessed Paradise Station. Do note that this is not the number of days you have actively logged on to our server, so your actual playtime may be substantially less depending on your playing habits during the past 3.24 years (1185 days).

Your note regarding your choice to use lethals on a shadowling thrall made a point to include that you were understanding at that time, something that it would appear has since changed based on your recent behavior as evident by this thread. While I am curious as to the change in attitude in the past few months, that does go beyond the scope of this thread and thus I will not be inquiring into that matter further.

As for your insistence that my comments were actually personal attacks against you, I do apologize if that is how you viewed them, as that is not how I intended them. If I had intended to insult and attack you, I would have done so in a much more straight-forward and undeniable fashion. However, if you decide that you would like to be personally attacked, do please let me know as I will gladly oblige you that request should you make it.

Off the topic of the complaint for a brief moment, I would like to highly encourage you to make use of the "Edit" button if you wish to add new thoughts rather than making a new post for each tidbit you desire to contribute to this thread. It is rather cumbersome to have to pass through multiple posts by you and you alone in succession when you could convey that same information in a single post. At this point, it seems as if you are merely attempting to inflate post counts for some indiscernible reason.

However, as you have made it quite clear that you do not respect our admin team, our community rules, or the effort put forth by those who have taken their own time to reply to you in this thread, you may disregard this post as you have made it clear that you don't want to listen to anyone but instead force others to listen to you. While you are welcome to speak what you wish, a right granted to everyone on the internet, you are not entitled to an audience, especially one here, if you do not respect the "laws of the land" as it were.

You continuously state that you could be better spending your time elsewhere, yet will post here unsolicited multiple times about how you could be doing that and adding yet more evidence to the increasingly popular opinion that you are little more than a troubled internet troll who needs to be given the boot swiftly and decisively. However, this is a possible option that is only afforded to our head administrators, who have been requested to take over your belligerent complaint.

  13. Hello there, I will be taking over this complaint until such time that the complaint is resolved or a head admin decides that they will handle the matter personally. If this is unacceptable with you, then unfortunately I foresee the complaint being rather dull as you wait for one of them to wake up and formulate a coherent response (they run on coffee and can be somewhat difficult to understand before consuming adequate quantities), as they do have obligations of their own beyond the scope of the server and community and may not be able to respond immediately.

After a quick review of the situation, it would appear that Darklordpyro was fully justified in his ban, though I will admit that he could have better handled your questioning of the rules by PM'ing you rather than continuing the discussion in OOC, as it was not a matter that needed to involve the rest of the server as it does by being in that particular channel. However, I do not believe he was ridiculing you, any potential ridicule you may believe you received appears to have come from the other players, which you admittedly opened yourself up for by posting such things in OOC as you did.

Darklordpyro could quite easily have told you that you breached both Rule 0 and Rule 4, and to a degree I agree that he should have done so clearly. However, it is obvious that he was attempting to get you to actually read the rules and realize this yourself; a technique commonly used to help educate and inform people instead of simply spoon-feeding the correct answers. To this end, it does not appear he was entirely successful based on your apparent lack of reaching the desired revelation.

While I hope you do realize that this is not the proper means of contesting the validity of your ban or requesting it be lifted, it does appear you lack some understanding regarding the reason for the ban to be applied. I will do my best to address this, and apologize in advance if understanding is not reached despite my efforts.

This is the statement you made which prompted the entire course of actions which led us to this complaint. Hopefully this is not new information to anyone reading the complaint, since you clearly repeated this phrase in your initial post. I am simply re-quoting it for the sake of clarity.

    Rule 0: Don't be a dick

Practice common sense while consulting these rules. The general idea counts, not the exact wording. The rules are guidelines for the server and should be interpreted to suit the situation at hand, not manipulated to suit your needs. Attempting to Rules-Lawyer an Administrator is never a good idea, and likely to result in harsher punishment

This is the wording of Rule 0, in which is quite clearly states that the intent of the rules are what are important, not the exact wording. This allows us, as administrators, to provide better rule coverage without getting tediously verbose and attempting to explicitly detail out every possible caveat of the rule. Of particular importance is the portion which advises against attempting to "rules-lawyer" an administrator, since this includes, but is not limited to, attempting to utilize the infamous line:

    53 minutes ago, Qsleepy said:

Where in the rules does it specify this?

Which you also breached upon with your OOC message:

    Quote

[22:34:05]OOC: Qsleepy/Qsleepy : I looked cant find the, "dont post facts that hurt feelings" part.

Thus insinuating that you were blameless because the rules don't specifically say the words you used.

As for the message in question itself, it DOES fall under the purview of Rule 4, which states:

    Quote

Rule 4: Maintaining a Respectful Environment

    Under no circumstances is OOC harassment of another player allowed, regardless of who the victim is. Repeated IC harassment with little to no reason can be considered metagrudging;

    Racial, Homophobic, Ethnic, Religious, etc, slurs are not allowed ICly or OOCly. Terms such as "faggot" and "nigger", or any variations on them (such as "ligger", "furfag", etc.) are expressly not allowed. Interspecies racism is allowed (so long as no other Rules are broken), as it is considered IC;

    Excessive profanity in OOC is not allowed. Keep profanity to a minimum and completely stop if it begins to upset other players or you are asked to stop by a member of the Server Staff;

Do not use the server to advertise other servers or for other commercial interests. An exception may be made if you seek Administrator approval (e,g, if you require help to test a server feature on a local testing server).

Do not put down, invalidate, berate and/or otherwise insult any player, community or server. While anger, frustration, and abuse may be quite suitable ICly, you may be asked to stop by an Administrator if it is seen as over the top, spamming, or without good cause. You can easily enjoy your time on a specific server without having to share your disinterest or plain criticism of other ones.

Your message was clearly intended to prompt a response from others, and, given the subject matter, it is difficult to believe the response sought was to be a friendly discussion on the merits and failings of an increasingly-standardized curriculum in education on the global scale with reference to particular regions and ethnic backgrounds. While a slur was not explicitly used, it was clear that your statement was meant to strike out at the communities associated with the regions and ethnic backgrounds you cited in your initial message. If this was not your intent, then perhaps you should be better phrased your statement to something more befitting an intellectual discussion instead of one reminiscent of the stereotypical 4chan or /b/ user's behavior as it was.

If you had simply acknowledged the fact that an admin had told you to stop posting such statements in OOC and left the matter at that, rather than attempting to rally OOC to your side after a simple warning was administered, you'd have avoided this result with little or no effort on your part. However, you attempt to incite OOC into a frenzy clearly backfired when the other players themselves decided to mock your inability to realize that what you had said was both offensive to people of the ethnic and regional backgrounds you mention due to the insinuation that they were, as a whole, inferior to everyone else.

Even in this very thread you seem to have difficulty grasping the concept of accepting that others are not the same as you in every respect, or at the very least grasping the concept of keeping your foot out of your mouth in a metaphorical sense.

  14. I started a new full station map a while back, though dropped work on it for a while due to other projects and work/life. Recently decided to go back at it, though again this is meant to be a full station, not an edit of existing maps. Think of it more like when we added Metastation than when we had the Maintenance Remap(s).

We used to not allow names of fictional characters from things like TV shows and such, which was honestly a hassle for everyone.

There were plenty of times where someone would ahelp about another player's name because it happened to also be the name of a character in some show the admin hadn't been aware of for one reason or another (our admin team is spread across the globe, so there's a lot of regional stuff one might not know but another would). This ultimately lead to a lot of confusion on both the player and admin sides on whether or not they should let the person retain the name because it's some obscure finnish tv show character's name from the 80s that the admin in the USA had never even heard of prior to the ahelp.

Eventually, the admin team voted internally and decided to rescind that restriction to make the entire process easier for everyone. Crude and obviously out-of-place names still get BWOINK'd, but naming your plasma-peddling atmos tech Hank Hill isn't going to really ruin anyone's day. Likewise, someone named something like Luigi Mario (yes, that's in fact his last name) isn't going to ruin your immersion based on just their name.

Hell, there are real people named after characters from shows, books, and games like Zelda Williams (daughter of the late Robin Williams) or even that kid who was named Dovahkiin. You don't necessarily need to account for their backstory for your own, and learning how to adapt to new situations and people is a VERY important skill to master for good roleplay... One which you hone through actually doing so.

This change is likely to get repealed, but you are all welcome to discuss the implications of it.

You already can make coffee and tea via chemical reactions. Coffee powder and tea powder are both able to be obtained through grinding up coffee and tea from botany, then all you need to do is add water and enjoy your cup of caffeine.

Upgrades to speed for the fryer could be done fairly easily, though I don't want to bring back deepfry-ing anything. People used to do this to stuff like PDAs, tasers, and other limited yet important objects more to cause grief for the owner than any other reason, because it renders it inoperable and is completely irreversible.

The contraband from the kitchen vendor, or rather the entire stock of that vendor, could use a reassessment and updating, I most definitely agree there.

As for the pig: he'll be getting an update in the near-ish future to be less janky looking (skittles already has supplied me with new pig sprites) and more delicious.

As I remember you сan't revive or clone suicider by normal means. You can only borg them mostly.

Yes, you can use strange reagent and genetics shenigans but why you would like to do that with someone who died willingly?

Suiсiding as head is a good way to get jobban anyway. So its not very often.

You can also do brain transplants for reviving suicide victims.

As for opening head roles as Spark mentioned, the HoP could easily just promote from within and then re-open the lower level department slot. Honestly, 9/10 of the time I'd argue that's a better option, since you know who you're gonna have to deal with as a potential new head of staff.

  18.

When someone uses cryodorms, their job slot gets re-opened when they are removed from the game (the "X has been moved into long-term storage" message). This action also automatically re-assigns any traitor objectives related to that individual, so it's definitely a good idea to throw any SSD people you encounter into cryodorms.

As for suiciders, there is still technically ways to revive them (assuming they are still in game), though it is generally a dick move to suicide when you can just as easily go to cryodorms (or drop SSD in the halls and let someone else carry you there if you have to go NOW) so that your job slot could be freed. Otherwise, the HoP would need to be made aware of the suicide and manually open a new job slot for the one previously filled by the suicider, same as if they were to terminate an employee's employment in a job.

The code is not at fault when it comes to antag-fishers, it is entirely the players.

I like the concept of security issuing tickets and fines as alternative to brig sentences for the lesser crimes (especially things like vandalism or indecent exposure) that don't really warrant a full 5 minute sentence. While the EFTPOS device can be confusing to use, nothing stops you from simply hitting the nearest ATM and making a cash withdrawal for the amount (can also be used to try and bribe the less moral officers).

However, as stated, the current "economy" system doesn't really support it. Generally speaking, the average crew member spends very little money through a typical shift, with the main expenses being cigarettes and snacks, or the occasional merch store purchase. This means all you are really going to accomplish with a fine or such would be preventing them from buying a racial flag, yet another pack of smokes, or perhaps another go at the claw game.

I'd be all for supporting the issuing of tickets and fines and such IF we first can make money matter.

  20.

For the battle game (space villian, pwn lord spess, etc), the tickets dispensed is equal to:

    var/score = player_hp + player_mp + 5

So if you end with 10 health / 10 mana, you'll get 15 tickets.

For Orion Trail, the tickets dispensed is equal to:

    var/score = alive + round(food/2) + round(fuel/5) + engine + hull + electronics - lings_aboard

So if you (miraculously) end with 4 crew, 60 food, 80 fuel, 1 engine spare part, 1 hull spare part, 1 electronics spare part, and no changelings on board, you'll find yourself winning a whopping 53 tickets... but that's never going to happen.

Of course, all bets are off when it comes to the EMAGGED versions of these games. With those, winning is much harder, and you'll be lucky to walk away with their respective prizes (and your life)!

EDIT: There is no guide for the claw game. It may or may not be rigged. You might just suck at claw games.

Technically, the snowmen from the Evil Santa away mission throw snowball projectiles. They don't do a lot of damage on their own, but they do reduce body temperature, leading to all sorts of !!FUN!! from that. I was going to make it so you could get snowballs from them / the mission, but never did that and now it's in storage until next winter.

I was thinking of adding sand buckets/shovels to the beach to let you make sand castles on sand turfs... perhaps when I do that I will let them make snowmen or snowballs on snow turfs...

EDIT: If we do have snow / snowballs, we can easily add one of everyone's favorite festival treats: Snow-cones!

  22.

You mean that's not how you apply a defib? Shit...

Jokes aside, I'd rather not have that be the case. Something as bulky as the defib backpack is going to hurt if you get hit by it regardless of whether or not the person intended to. I also have, in a pinch, used the defib as a weapon for bashing spiders and such when I have nothing else handy, typically remaining in help intent.

Perhaps expanding the description to be a bit more clear would be a good middle-ground though.
