The Blueshield's job it to guard the Heads of Staff and make sure they all make it home in one piece, not act as a blue-colored Security Officer.

As Blueshield you are a bodyguard for the Heads of Staff, you should be willing to die to protect them. Your job is NOT to act as a Security Officer with a fancy office, and if you're buying this job for the 30 Karma Points it costs you need to understand this. It is, like alot of the Karma jobs, a primarily RP-focused role until a threat to the Heads appears. Spend some time getting to know who you're protecting. A proper Blueshield should be Robust and should know that he cannot save everyone. Pick your priorities and keep them alive. Use your Death Alarm implants. Learn basic first aid - Even if you win the fight, a dying head is a dead head if you can't stabilize him or patch him up. A solid tactic is to buddy up with an important or vulnerable Head of Staff and follow him around.
So,you've chosen to be the Blue Warden protecting one of those pesky, noisy and boring heads, huh?

Well,sucks to be you!

In fact, you will spend most of your time following a Head, protecting his life and in general being a sort-of Third Echelon with your chosen head!

But one thing MUST be clear, you're not part of the Security, nor you are a Freelancer Mercenary, you are a Bodyguard, so you should act as one,not running around freely ignoring that RD burning alive inside toxins or that CE entering inside the Singulo Field just for seeing how's inside a black hole.
If you spent 30 Karma for this, you should know that you're not a Blue Sec Officer with a private office where you can drink till you pass out,you are The Bodyguard recruited by the NT for every Head in need of protection!

Now that we pointed out this little thing, time to see what you should know and what you should do!

The Man In Blue

Greetings Sir,I Will Be Your Babysitter

Yes,from what you could have understand from the title, you will be Head-Babysitting during all the shift you've chosen, but what should be the first steps besides arming yourself?

Surely implanting every Head from the start of the shift, call them inside the Bridge and Tatà! you will now have the way to know where they are when they die,so you can run to their position and clone their ass back to this universe of misery and pain!(Besides kicking every hostile near the body of said Head into the hands of the Sec members, obviously)

After this step is done, you did half of your job!

Great,isn't it?

Sadly, now comes the hard part, successfully protecting a Head!

First of all,if you choose to protect the CE you should know that you're going to have a hard time, instead,if you pick the CMO the RD or the HoP you will spend all the shift following someone that couldn't care less about protection and that probably doesn't need it!(Besides from that kind of HoP when he decides to go around and help the Security without backup...)

Also, one thing that you will learn is that you'll have to prioritize your objectives,so,who would you save when the times are hard, the HoP or that CMO? If you answered the CMO,you probably are a Doctor in disguise or the CMO.

The point is,you should choose who you WILL save and who is expendable and can get an easy replacement and who's death can hinder the general security of the station, for example the HoP is important for the Console Access, the HoS is important for the Armory and his armor/equipment Etc. Etc. Etc.

Marine Down,Send A Medic!

Yes,you will need some medical knowledge to stabilize or even save your chosen Head! So,for this reason, take that First Aid kit from the Bridge and always remember to apply some medical treatment before moving an injuried Head! If you want a more detailled guide, use this.
