Biography: Born and raised within a family of Nanotrasen employees, Nicholas has moved from station to station around the known galaxy. Working for NT was a foregone conclusion but his medical aptitude was less expected. His father was a shaft-miner and his mother a QM, both coming from limited educational backgrounds. Attending NT sponsored schools, both Nicholas and his brother Nathan have benefited from a much higher degree of education.

 

While Nicholas doesn't have the field training of a full doctor, he is trained to work and operate every piece of equipment produced by Nanotrasen Medical. Being skilled only in the operation of advanced technology and not a complete background understanding of medicine is why he has advanced to his position at such a young age. He is also only familiar with the healing aspects of the technology and is unfamiliar with the construction of toxins or grenades. He also has no knowledge of so-called "Ghetto Medicine" and without the advanced tech of the medbay is fairly helpless.

 

Although Nicholas is talented in his limited roles, a lack of assertiveness has led to his career being stalled. He has little chance of ever rising to command, except via emergency appointment and such promotions are unlikely to last beyond any shift.

 

He is loyal to Nanotrasen, but often finds its corporate values conflicting with his own sense of morality. As such he is a little too questioning of NT procedure for his own political good, even though he would never work with terrorists or other such violent groups. Nor is he likely to ever voluntarily leave NT as it is what he has known his entire life.

 

Qualifications: Nanotrasen Vocational Training Certificate (Advanced Medical)

 

Employment Records: Qualified medical equipment operator. Recently received a six month period of leave to look after his nephew while his older brother was assigned to a Nanotrasen deep-space relay repair mission.

 

Security Records: No arrests or charges on record. Passed all standard Nanotrasen security screening checks.
