See my post on your appeal. It is not up to you to decide if the ban is invalid or not, being here is a luxury not a right. If another senior admin deems this ban to be unfair then I will back down.

The complaint really doesn't give us a lot of information to go on.
Firstly some paragraphs would've been nice.
Secondly names of any witnesses/people involved in the incident. E.G. The QM, HoS and anyone else involved (ic and/or ooc)
As it stands from the information you've given all I can deduce is:
1) You, an NT recruiter, were playing it like a security position (while this may not have been intended it doesnt look like anythin else.
2) The QM, cargo techs etc ordered a load of combat crates etc as you said and code red was initiated etc etc... in which case gunning down the armed to the teeth civilians I would kinda understand and be okay with, though again NT recruiter hires civilians, not gun down criminals.
3) While it could have been icy and we won't really know if you dont give us names it looks like you're purely assuming it was icy because he banned you which makes your accusation invalid.
4) On the security part, you seem to think nt recruiter has more power than he does... He is a medium-ish ranking NT HR employee who deals with hiring staff. He technically would have the authority to terminate contacts if it was the case on station but aside from that it is ultimately the Heads of Staff of the station who has the authority. Unless NT employees on station (rep, blueshield, recruiter) have received prior orders to do something which would give them authority.
This adds to the thinking they have authority point.

Was really tempted to dish out 150 quid for the archeum but in the end held my wallet back and told myself no. Got into all the closed beta events but now my PC is out of action for at least another month so the game's started without me :'(

We currently go between visible and invisible on the BYOND hub irregularly so if you don't see us up there and the server was up a few hours ago or the day before we are likely invisible unless announced otherwise on the forums.
Some people appear to have trouble using the link so here is a step by step guide on how to join a specific IP address on the BYOND hub and to add it to your bookmarks for future reference.
To connect directly to the server
1. Open BYOND to the main page and click Open
2. Paste either byond://nanotrasen.se:6666 or byond://80.244.78.90:6666 and click OK
To save the server to bookmarks for future use
1. Follow all steps above but don't press OK.
2. Click Add. If you didn't enter the server address previously do so in the url section. Then add a name and click OK
3. Press cancel and you should be at the main page of BYOND. Exit out of BYOND completely and reload it and you should now have a direct link on the main page.
You should now be able to join the server at any point when it is online (without having to leave the main page)

Biography:
Chase Scott is a reknowned scientist and has served in the research division on many ships and stations including the NSV Icarus and NSS Redemption. He has a Ph.D in phsyics and particle theory, while he maintains a masters degree in chemistry and biology. He was part of a team comprised of some of the best scientists and engineers in the known universe that developed the singularity engine, unfortunately he lost his right hand when one of the prototypes malfunctioned in the early development stages. After spending 3 years working aboard the NSV Icarus working on developing new kinda of advanced weaponry he killed his superior officer whom was later found out to be a sleeper agent though whom he worked for was never discovered and the investigations are still ongoing to this day into whether this was a government plot to falter NanoTrasen's actions or if it was a terrorist organization is still unknown. He was summoned to NAB Smythside to answer for his crimes where he explained the situation and was cleared of charges and commended for his loyalty. He was promoted to Research Director and assigned to the NSV Luna where he worked for 4 more years experimenting with bluespace warp and telecommunications as well as some small weapons projects. After his time served aboard the Luna he was assigned to the NSS, now known as NCS, Cyberiad where he worked for 10 more years as the Research Director. The Head of Research on the Trurl who oversaw all research vessels in the Epsilon Eridani star system became ill and died a few months after being diagosed. Chase was the only man capable of taking on the job and was promoted to Head of Research overseeing all research stations and vessels in the Epsilon Eridani star system He isn't the biggest fan of office work so rather than staying aboard the NAB Trurl he generally works aboard his station, the NSS Redemption. On occasion he signs up to work a shift aboard the NGS Cyberiad though it is is rare that this happens.

Out of character side note: All chase's skills have come from experience which I tried to show in his biography which I made for him a year or so ago. Eg he would be able to do singulo maintenance because he helped design it. Human anatomy is of the human body so he would know what does what and able to operate in certain situations (note he can only do it for humans, and tajarans in some cases as they have a similar anatomy). Weapons use from experimenting with prototypes, NSV Icarus was a research ship which specializes in combat drones and other combat research so he would have learnt a bit there.
That was just to clear some stuff up for the people that think its a bit power/metagamey that he has qualifications in other jobs.
Yes it's a lot of reading in the biography part but... fuck it I love writing lore for characters.

Now while your "complaint" is terribly worded and more of you just trying to make our staff look like terrible people who do what they want "because they can" and the fact that I could barely take this seriously I can understand you getting annoyed at topics being locked.
This isn't done because "Look how many fucks I give" or any other reason you can think up of. It is done to quickly sort the forums so we can get to the other appeals as you are not the only one. Locking it generally means the admin has given his verdict and the appeal is finished. You are free to resubmit an appeal whenever you wish.
Of course, this is going to get locked and I'm going to get banned from the forums, because "lol why not admin roxx!! ha we r ta best! whu crs we put som cod in d gm lol!"We have a complaint section for a reason, we would hardly go to the trouble of having a complaints section if we banned everyone who complained. Though your attitude in the complaint and the replies following the initial complaint would almost certainly grant you a forum ban.
Overall your complaint isn't structured at all and is simply you whinging so this complaint is done and I will be locking this thread.

Qinetix nailed it with that reply really. It is true you shouldnt have to wear a hardsuit unless its needed. Aside from that I don't really see the use. Ce's till now have gotten along fine without one and I don't see it being needed in most situations.

Okay so there were two people involved in this and this also led me to the ban, whether or not you knew each other I don't know but anyway.
He started attacking an ERT member with a hatchet after the shuttle docked and managed to knock him down which made him drop his l6. You then picked it up and decided to start shooting glass as you say and people got caught in the crossfire. The logs showed more than 2 people getting hit by the bullets while you were shooting at the glass. This is what led to the ban. Being careless with a weapon you shouldn't have picked up and breaking the shuttle grief rule (no.10).
Now onto me not letting you argue your case. I'll tell you this had nearly any other admin been in my position you would have been banned straight away for shuttle grief. I had given you a chance to explain yourself to which you responded with "I was shooting glass, literally one block away from it, when people ran in front and got hurt". And I replied with what do you expect etc etc. I was at that stage dealing with 3 people including yourself and after I was done talking to the other two you still had not replied and that is why the ban was dealt. I felt I had given you enough time.
Now that aside we have a zero tolerance for shuttle grief and its usually a straight up ban of a maximum of 3 days (4320 minutes) which you were banned for. If you wish to appeal you may.
As a side note "I'm pretty sure this falls under complaints, I am unsatisfied with the way the admin carried out his action." Here is a quote directly from the rules. "All admins have the power to ban players as they see fit."

Well adr has depicted the life of an admin and the logs pretty well. Anyway as adr said they can easily heal and get back up after a couple of minutes. Most people opt to take the monkey to the crematorium or knock off its head. If you knew he was a ling then I imagine you knew they don't die like the rest of us.
With all the attack logs it can be hard to differentiate who is just killing a monkey "Cause I can" or actually beating a ling to death so its an easy mistake to make. I understand it probably annoyed you but these things happen and its only a game and its only one round as well so I'm sure you can live with it.
If you wish to respond I'll leave it open a day longer.

As it is now CC isn't used for much bar the odd event, and ERT of course. A desk job on CC would be interesting and enjoyable to some, if it were to be implemented it would likely be a karma job, but as it is it would be a pretty boring job. For one as I said there isn't really anything to do there, and the only job would be responding to faxes which itself would require a lot of participation from iaa's and NT rep, and then there is the issue of them not having -much- in the way of power to do anything about it.
I saw there's an office, or at least one, with a fax machine.Yes there are four offices on CC, which we added just because why not, in mine I added a fax machine which is probably what you saw but as it is it doesn't get used at all unless I decide to run a mini event with either myself or a player working with NT rep and iaa's on station.
If enough people want more interaction from CC i'm sure we could do some stuff but it would likely be just "thrown on the pile", that said if enough people want it we could probably make it happen faster.

I'm sorry you were faced with this and I will investigate and clear it up.
First things first, dave may be a retired admin but you only started playing here the last week or two. Dave was one of the first admins on the server and retired from admining last month. So yea he still has all the power of an admin.
Secondly, Dave doesn't play any character named "Daniel Wilson" and i have confirmed it with him. I won't reveal names but Daniel Wilson is played by a normal player.
After reading the logs there was no sign of any reviving of any kind, the only log after the "seizes up dead and lifeless" message was the logout report when the server restarted.
So really there is no explanation for it, there was no revive done by admins, and all we have for it is your word which isn't much to go on.

Just on the general lore of this, machine people are as they sound... Machine People aka full robot. A cyborg is a being with both organic and robotic parts (in this case a robot body and a human brain).
-Giving them robot encryption key would ruin every malf AI round.
-Surgery on self would be OP.
-EMP should do damage.
-Own radio.. maybe?
-Flash should have same effect as it does to borgs.
-Roboticists required to heal/
-Hacking would be OP unless it took a long time and required panel to be open, possibly a unique hacking system?
-No need to breathe? Machine people are fully synthetic so should feel no need to breathe.
-The cell idea i like but if it were to be implemented have the power consumption rate pretty low.
A side note, i haven't really played with machine people too much as of yet but i read somewhere, i think it was bay, that emagging machine people makes them loyal to you. Im not sure whether or not thats in our code but i think it would be a nice addition.

It really depends on how you look upon medi-borg, in the right hands its a really useful borg.
You said you had to drag some guy to medbay, well for one, bring a roller bed! And two, your hypospray can inject useful reagents. I'm not entirely sure of all the reagents they get but there is tricordazine which you can use to heal someone no problem and it refills over time which is great.
As for chemistry, just ask a chemist, if they aren't then there's nothing you can really do about it but wait for someone, or ask CMO.
Really the only main downside to medi-borg is their inability to put patients in cyro, sleeper, cloner etc.

i actually kind of like the idea of replacing cargo points with the accounts. As it is now economy isn't really a high priority but when work begins to be done on it i would like to see how this plays out

if medical cyborg had those tools it should at least have bone gel and setter, and another note it would need someone to put the guy on a table, roller bed etc

Alright so after some discussion with other seniors and hearing kharsai's side of it here is my perception of things.
As you said kharsai came into the round about two-thirds of the way into it and went on to spawn a wizard in a cult round. Their reasoning was most of the cultists had been deconverted and more or less no antags thus the round was basically extended +
Kharsai wanted to breathe some life into the round and was within their rights to. It is unfortunate you were taken out of the round but these things happen, when a round gets too boring people begin to complain.
If you wish to press this further then by all means but for now I see no valid reasoning to continue this. I will be closing this tomorrow unless you respond before then.
