  1. Hey everyone. I've played this game for a couple months now, and I've gotten a hang of a lot of things: Janitor, Shaft Miner, Chef, Botanist. Pretty easy roles or at least roles I can practice on my own without bothering anyone. But I'm kind of at an awkward point. Jobs like Janitor and Chef have few people needing to do them (and they're easy) so they're always full even when I'm in a pre-game lobby. So the only jobs available are jobs like Security Officer and Medical Doctor, which are both important and can ruin other people's game if they're not done well (unlike a lot of easier jobs). I don't want to take those jobs and ruin someone else's game for being too slow in healing someone while they're bleeding out on the floor or unlawfully arrest someone (or worse).

My main issue is I'm just bored to tears playing civilian. I just sit there waiting for something bad to happen and then wait for the escape pod. Sometimes it can be fun, but I usually just feel like I'm wasting time. But I don't want to be obnoxious taking a new, more challenging role since I know how frustrating it can be when basic functions of the ship can't get done. I guess I'm a bit frustrated since I do really like the game, but I've hit this wall in terms of difficulty. Any advice on how to "git gud" would be appreciated.

  2. Hey everyone. I heard about Space Station 13 from the Mandalore video (I was a part of a dreaded "Grey Tide" I suppose), but I've played the game off and on for a few months. I have played pretty consistantly for the past two months though, and I basically only play on Paradise Station. I felt that I might as well introduce myself here and stop being just a casual civilian lurker.
