[Do you enjoy the blob game mode?]

I actually do enjoy blob, every job has a way to assist, even the most useless meme of the station, the librarian, can help. Especially the more advanced roles like Science and genetics get to do something with their hard work.

My issue with it though is that it abruptly prevents you from doing your personal projects like trying to build a maxcap atmos bomb which is my wet dream.

 

Another issue I find with blob is the fact that is the way it attacks, it spawns mobs to fight which isn't bad in of itself, but when it's hard to get rid of the factories that spawn them and it's hard not to get hit too badly by them then it's an issue.

 

My solution to this would be making blob spores and blobbernauts slower but tankier as to follow the war of attrition playstyle this game mode promotes. It would also make them more of an unstoppable tide than a kamikaze troop.

 

Another thing that could be improved is the space blob meme. It really is annoying for the blob to hide in engineering maintenance with no air and fastmos on (which throws you around too much imo) and having 90% of players left with nothing to do but pray.

 

That issue could be solved by making the blob in space much slower overall making it less appealing and a good balance. On the other hand my best times fighting blob have been in space where every hit counted more as you were outnumbered and had a lower chance of getting back.

 

All in all I think with some more tweaking blob could be the Nuke Ops of paradise and maybe for the love of God some redesigns  to the blob sprite which is ugly and static. This large and encompassing threat could give an example to some worse antags (looking at you changelings).
