Background
A human scanning probe grazed past a rogue gas giant outside of any system, picked up signs of life such as long distance communication. A research ship was sent, discovering abnormalities upon the surface of the gas giant. Across it patches of a hardened rocklike substance covered its expanse. Originating from the most solid mass was a ruined domed structure clearly older then anything built by the locals. The denizens were organics infused with plasma with nearly every part of their being. The ancient ruins are too dated too determine its function but official NT investigation labels it under "Either some sort of terraformer or an attempt at creating a brown dwarf." The denizens call the gas giant Boron. They were a Tier 0 civilization on the brink of ascending into Tier 1. With the aid of the researchers they quickly ascended into the next civilization tier within only a short 40 years.
Behavior
Plasmamen are known to be peaceful generally. However they are religious extremists despite their quick ability to science and reason. Often allowing it to blind themselves to severe political and humane issues. Often the topic of religion will cause a member of the race to lash out in anger or in fevered reverence.
Culture
Many political extremists are among plasmamen which have an obsession with fire. Their religious views reflect that Boron is their own god and that it should awaken with flame. Their most religious figures and iconography are always represented with fire. To the point when their representative leaders take their pledges, they are set aflame. Their leadership roles last as long as their bodies harbor the flame.
Biology
Their bodies are comprised of an organic obsidian-like hardened plasma. The understanding of such is still under review. This material dissolves out as plasma slowly when introduced to heat or a non-plasma atmosphere.
Relations with other Races
Other species and civilizations highly regard Plasmamen as valuable allies as their ability to comprehend advanced technology can aid in much progression. Few events have occurred where the other races did not bend negotiations to keep the Plasmamen in favor. Although not always without the Plasmamen taking advantage of such political movements.
