The First Era

In a time long forgotten the planet Laxis Adrax now known by most as Lavaland was not always such, long ago it was a verdant planet with lush jungles and diverse wild life, for a time not much happened as any sentient life had yet to emerge, this would not last long however. On the Unathi home-world of Moghes an asteroid comprised primarily of bluespace crystals impacted a village, however instead of destroying the village and all its inhabitants it resulted in a large bluespace anomaly, one powerful enough to transport the majority of the village to Laxis, the Unathi found themselves in a completely different climate, but one that seemed to almost suit them better than Moghes itself, for a time they prospered, none of the life on the planet was even remotely close to being able to stand against the hunters of the village. Eventually though, the settlement suffered a great plague, one so potent it threatened their total annihilation. The village leader struggling to contain the pandemic heard a voice in their dreams, it promised salvation and prosperity at the mere cost of being worshiped, the leader having no other hope for saving the settlement agreed to the pact with the voice. When he next woke the entire settlement had been cured seemingly by magic, their leader following the pact declared it an act of divine intervention, there were skeptics at first but none could deny the evidence, the total eradication the plague and curing of those afflicted over night followed by a proclamation of divine intervention from their leader was no coincidence. Eventually the entire village fell into line and began to worship the being behind the voice, its name lost to time.

The Second Era

Following the adoption of a religion worshiping the entity now only known as The Necropolis the village prospered, under its guidance they had made rapid developments and had rediscovered metal working and various other technologies they once had on Moghes, in a brief decade the village population had roughly doubled and new settlements were already developing, several monuments to The Necropolis had already been constructed, however it demanded more, a monument to stand the test of time, and so it was done the first village, now a city had begun construction of the actual Necropolis building it had become a holy site and a place to intern their dead sent unto their god. The ruling elite and the church were one in the same only they were granted access to the innermost sanctum where they communed with The Necropolis itself. Despite the long prosperity brought on by the adoption of this new religion there were still seeds of doubt scattered throughout the populous, gradually the doubt managed to infiltrate the cult itself which was the first step towards the end. Upon the completion of the necropolis the high priests convened in the innermost sanctum with The Necropolis itself, there The Necropolis asked one final thing of the high priests, to bring it forth. Members of the cult that had become doubtful managed to discover the plans of the High Priests, they convened and agreed to do something. As the High Priests entered the sanctum of the necropolis to begin the ritual, all the while the disillusioned prepared another ritual, one that would place a seal on the necropolis sealing whatever came through from the ritual inside. This was what resulted in the downfall of the nation. Brought forth but trapped The Necropolis became enraged, it lashed out at the planet itself, the power of the worship focused towards it and its presence allowed it to ravage the landscape of the planet twisting it into a fiery hellscape unrecognizable from what it was once before, the vast majority of the Unathi population were consumed to fuel the wrath of The Necropolis, wildlife was twisted and corrupted into instruments of The Necropolis' will, the High Priests were rewarded for their devotion to The Necropolis by being transformed, made into the ultimate form of The Necropolis' will only known as Colossi. The great beasts of burden used by the Unathi were reptilian in nature, the fire and brimstone combined with the power of The Necropolis changed them into fearsome winged beasts capable of unleashing breath hot enough to melt any material in the universe. Along with The Necropolis itself one of its greatest demonic servants simply known as Bubblegum pierced the veil and was unleashed upon the planet.
