(Possibly replace The Entity with The Necropolis) The Ash Walkers They always worshipped The Necropolis, perhaps were more advanced than we see them now I'd probably put them in the early medieval era. They constructed the necropolis to worship their god and intern the dead Hence the name of the necropolis However, their god is actually a redspace/bluespace (depending on if we want redspace to be canon) entity It communes with their high priests and convinces them to attempt to bring it forth into normal space This is when a schism happens, some of them go through with it While a few others go against it The devout priests sucessfully bring forth The Entity. But The rebels did something to the necropolis, making it into a sort of prison for the entity. The imprisonment of The Entity utterly enraged it and it lashed out basically entirely destroying their society A devout few were spared its wrath. The Entity now imprisoned within begins to unleash its eldritch powers on it's new home, corrupting any and all within its reach. The Entity is immensely powerful and its eldritch grasp takes hold of the entire planet. Using the dense deposits of bluespace it begins manipulating reality itself in certain regions. Resulting in the anomalies we see on the station as well as later bringing several ruins (The Vet, Biodomes, Ruined Party). It manages to bring forth its subjects the demons (slaughters and Bubblegum). And it also begins to influence the fauna of the planet (drakes, goliaths, and watchers) using them for it's own will. Colossi are not a natural occurrence, they were created from the priests who performed the ritual to bring this entity forth, given immense power as reward for their service. Using the corrupted bodies inside the necropolis, legions are formed After immeasurably long times the big legions are formed from a collection of numerous smaller ones. The remnants of the ash walkers continue on and their culture is reduced to a state we see as it is now. Events on the planet begin to stagnate, The Entity sealed within the nigh indestructible necropolis waiting for an opportunity. When Rat'Var manifests upon the planet, having fled from a losing battle with Nar'Sie The Entity sensing an opportunity attacks Rat'Var, perhaps attempting to assimilate it into its being However Rat'Var's mechanical nature and weakened state results in his utter destruction by The Necropolis. Nar'Sie senses this disturbance and sends a small sect of her cult to investigate, after discovering the presence of The Entity she demands she is brought forth to destroy it. However The planet is utterly and entirely controlled by The Entity, their attempts to bring Nar'Sie forth are disrupted and swiftly ended by a contingent of very angry Colossi, leaving nothing but bones remaining where they attempted the ritual. Time goes on for a little while. When NT arrives, their scanners detecting the immense amounts of valuable ores and bluespace on the planet, and more specifically the anomalies mentioned earlier. And then we have the events of game The Entity tolerates NT's presence as it sees them as a possible opportunity, to escape its prison and wreak havoc on the universe uncontested.
