The turbine is a tertiary power source accessed through maintenance tunnels adjacent to Atmospherics.

The gas turbine is an alternative way to produce power on the station, exclusive to an Atmospheric Technician. Although it will probably be the last power source to be set up on the station, it is still capable of producing upwards of 50 kW. You can accomplish this with a method of pumping in compressed gas mixtures to pressurize the chamber, then ignite the mixture to pressurize it further. When turned on, the turbine utilizes this reaction to produce power relative to the pressure building in the chamber.

We're going to activate the gas turbine with a basic set-up, there are more efficient ways to do this, so feel free to experiment with new ideas (Just don't fill the station with plasma). First of all, you're going to want to know how the pipes work, check out the Guide to Atmospherics. Now that you know the basics, you'll need to replace the pump leading from the plasma tank to the mix chamber with a volume pump, this will increase the amount of gas transferred, as it deals with the total volume of the gas and not the pressure. You then do the same for the pure O2 chamber, replace the pumps leading from it to the mix chamber with a volume pump. After all that, we have to start mixing the gases before they go into the mix chamber, so replace the junction leading from the plasma tank, to the mix chamber with a gas mixer and set it to mix at 67% to 33%, this is the ideal mixture for the gas turbine (If you find something better, let us know!). That's almost it for the Atmospherics lab, last thing that we need to do is remove the pressure valve going from our mix chamber to space, with a regular pipe. Doing this will not limit the amount being sent to the turbine room.

Now we can move on to the final part, the turbine room. In here, most of what you've got to do is piping, so make sure to bring the dispenser with you. First of all, replace all the necessary pumps with volume pumps, this means any bringing gas in, and any pumping it into the chamber. After that, there's not much more to do, go around and check all of the pipes are in order, double check that you are happy with the layout, then turn it all on. You should be seeing your mixture churning out upwards of 50kW, if not, something must have gone wrong and you're leaking plasma all over the station, you better fix that.
