Hey folks, Ely here.

 

I like events. Making them happen, giving more flavor, more life to this game (as it gets a tad stale from time to time). I've decided that I would take requests for events to perform, if you've got any specific ideas in mind. I'll display the format i'd ask for y'all to put it in before I consider it below. Any/all are welcome to try, can't guarantee that i'll try everyone's though--busy work and class schedule.

 

In addition, I don't look at the forums all too often, so if you want, toss me a notification on discord, i'll pay attention then.

Message: The ministry of Judgement/Justice (cant recall which on comics) have decided that this station law enforcement system is insuficient and such will be deploying 5 subjects to restore it, any retailation against them will be judged with EXECUTION" -chief of justice [insert name here]

 

Equipment: captain caparace, captain space helmet, combat gloves, green boots, GYROJETS renamed to "Lawgiver"

 

Plot: this is more of a gimmick for nukies, but oh well, if you are interested, basically "judge dredd" gimmick, make them enforce the law Lawfully stupid without considering context, they will for SURE make themselves an antag force when round reaches mid-term, maybe allow them to shoot to death.

THE SECOND AMENDMENT! THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS! Just think of how little crime there will be when everyone has a gun. It's like pointing fingers: You point at one person, three more will point right back at you. :) I think I made mention to something like this before and I still want it. I realize this could be dangerous but in a boring round it might not be bad

This was either my first thread or my second. Modify for a team of psychologist/psychiatrists with unwitting doubles aboard the station (take existing crew and copy their names and sprites for the adminspawned team). Wouldn't be hard to get volunteers: miners and engineers will likely die very quickly under the terms of "leave the station and die." Bodies should be adminspawned out to a special z-level waiting-room to prevent any sort of notification to the crew that deaths are occurring.

 

Copying medical doctors would be the safest bet as it aligns with the backstory and as M.D.'s are probably the least likely to go EVA or off-station and thus kill themselves, nixing the possibility of an encounter with their double.

 

There should be something fun set up for the many who will die during the round due to EVA/outposts/gateway deaths. Several admins might need to police for deaths and run the secondary event.

 

Backstory: The Cyberiad has encountered a strange anomaly that has created a massive powersink in the station, localized in the holodeck. The lazer tag simulator that was running has had the entire station's power run into it. In the resulting power surge, the holodeck landscape expanded over the entire footprint of the station, creating a holocopy of everything and everyone. The safeties have been burned into the off position. The real station is crippled. Unpowered and dying, the station needs the power that is pouring into the holodeck. An engineering ERT is currently beng assembled at CentComm, but communication is spotty and no one has a clue where to start to fix this problem. But that isn't your or the most pressing concern. Massive energy spikes are pouring from the holodeck and wreaking havoc on the physical station. And the AI, who until now has been the only one able to enter the holodeck, has linked the spikes to the fact that whenever a holocrewmember or holographic object leaves the station, disappears entirely. The working theory is that the power is released in an uncontrolled manner whenever a hologram leaves the hologrid. While the program can be reset, the power is finite and is causing real destruction. Worse, while the holograms are remarkably well copied and act much like their real counterparts, every time the program is reset, some damage akin to clone damage occurs in the holograms. In fact, when the AI has attempted to comunicate with the holograms to stay calm and not to leave the station, incredulous cries of MALF AI! TRAITORS! LINGS! WIZARD! occur. And that's just the beginning. Crazed sec officers are seen brutally harrassing the crew. Imprisoning them for odd and wrong motivations, wild conspiracies, or worse still, sadistic pleasure. This is so foreign to what you know at Nanotrasen. And the holographic deaths caused by the rampant hysteria also causes wild energy spikes from the holodeck on the real Cyberiad. Something must be done. The AI, running on limited power, has calculated that only one more reset of the program be attempted, and has found a way to insert a single real crewmember into the program, however, radiation damage will occur over time. No one not expendable should be sent, of course. You can receive medical attention in the holographic medbay, but will they dissect you as some foreign abomination, especially when they discover that a copy of you exists?

 

You are the station's psychologist. Rarely needed in a new age of medical advancement and competence in all areas and job functions, you have reduced your life to a sad existence of drinking at your uselessness. And yet, your lost art is the one needed most now. You have been ordered to enter the holoprogram on its last reset. The station's AI will be ported into your PDA, and will be able to open doors but not much else.

 

The Chief Engineer has suggested that while the energy spikes are both unpredictable and uncontrollable, a controlled energy spike would be able to be fed back into the station's batteries, allowing the singularity to be reset and the energy output then controlled. The alternative is that the singularity will grow to the point where it will destroy the station. Your mission: You must prevent, at any cost, any of the moving parts of the station (namely, the holographic copies of the Cyberiad crew) from leaving the station proper (including other z-levels), to prevent any call of the emergency shuttle, and ultimately, to assemble on the holodeck at 14:00 hours precisely, at least 30 holocharacters when a controlled shutdown will occur. The AI won't be able to help much. He will be ported into a pAI on you capable of opening doors and providing moral support. Do not, at any costs, allow the pAI to be captured, destroyed, or subverted. Perhaps you could get the AI transfered into a more useful, mobile version. Only a robotics department counterpart could help with that. You can also receive medical attention in the holographic medbay, but will they dissect you as some foreign abomination, especially when they discover that a copy of you exists? Oh, did I forget to remind you of that? And this crazed station has a fitting, malfunctioning AI to match it.

 

It's time to save your crewmates. It's time to put your lessons to work. You are the unlikely hero.

Objective ideas for others...

A copy of the psychologist has the objective to kill the real one.

AI has malf objectives.

Certain crewmembers have "There can only be one" or "Escape alone-hijack"

 

Incredibly destructive events. Anything that would normally force a shuttle call. The greentext goal is to get the station to 14:00 and crew to a specifc section, holodeck or cargo bay, maybe two alternate locations.

 

What do you think? Is it feasible? Of course the real Cyberiad wouldn't be seen. It would be a normal shift with a psychologist or psychology team with the greentext objectives as stated above. As an alternative to asembling in a location perhaps get to 14:15 without boarding the shuttle. Anyone, including psychologist, travelling to a different z-level or EVA means instant death (or perhaps infection with incurable virus thatwill result in death in 10 minutes or so to prevent meta realization of the connection).

Title of Event: Soviet Invasion and Annexation

 

This event will be generally better if there is 1-2 other Game Admins on to help with spawning and controlling the masses

Soviet Communique

 

Da is General Georgy Zhukov speakings. Is hear great loves from many Russian crew members on Cyberiads whos wish to rejoin glorious Soviet sovereignty and become glorious iron station.

 

As such, we are here by declarings Annexation of Cyberiads from Nanotrasen. All crews of Cyberiad who embrace the coming Soviet troops will be blessed by glorious leader with Soviet citizenship and be conscripted into Soviet army. All disgusting corporate security officers are also demanded to store their weapons and be screened by Soviet approved officers on joining glorious Soviet army.The Captain, Nanotrasen Represenative, and Blueshield along with any other current heads who do not submit to Annexation will be takings to firing range and executed for crimes against the state. Any crew members who resist Soviet annexation will also be killed or taken to be executed with the other Nanotrasen scum.

 

Glory to the Motherland!

 

Equipment Necessary(Style of equipment, flavor, surroundings what do you want?):

 

Mosin Nagats Surplus crates for Conscripts. Soviet Soldier uniforms, ushankas, and combat boots also all for conscripts in a large surplus. Appropriate ammo for the mosins if any possible.

At least one Soviet Admiral, preferrably admin played to lead the Soviet armed forces.

Many Soviet Soldiers all ghost requested These soldiers instead of the Auto revolver that the admiral gets receive regular .357 revolvers. Soldiers also receive 2-3 L6 saws with ammo boxes, one sniper, and the rest of the original soviets all with C20rs

 

The NT funded Freedom ops on the other hand will be given Nanotrasen Sabers, m1911s, Two L.W.A.P.s and full American Eagle outfits.

All of which will need appropriate ammo caches spawned.

 

Later in Soviet forces will receive additional caches of Bulldog shotguns with ammo cache. NT Funded forces will receive weapon and ammo caches for Sabers and M-90gl Carbines.

 

There will also be 5 Dark Gygax's for the Soviets and 5 Seraphs delivered with a ammo and medical supply drop for both forces.

 

Ammo and Medical supply drops will include a surgery crate and 5 platsteel for each. Appropriate ammo inside of crates, and many medkits.

 

To ensure crew members do join either side it will be required to force traitor on 10-15 crew members to embrace the Soviet forces and join their ranks as conscripts.

It will also be required to force 10-15 crew members to form an underground resistance movement at the old bar and create fortifications in hopes of a liberation force to arrive.

Both sides will have to try and sway public opinion into their favor and attempt to increase their influence the rest of the crew to join their movement.

Plot (if one exists):

 

After long term infiltration, the Soviet forces have been slowly increasing their number on Nanotrasen stations. As such Russian crewmembers have been slowly influencing the station with Soviet propaganda and cause a revolt against Nanotrasen. This incentive to leave Nanotrasen and become a Soviet station has been heard of from USSR Command who are dispatching the 22nd Armed Space Division to Annex the station. With them they bring many bear pelt hats, Mosin Nagats, and Soviet uniforms for willing crew members who embrace this new reign.

 

Crew members will be urged to accept the offering from the Soviets and will be given Mosin Nagats, uniforms, and a Soviet Conscript as their ID. They will embrace the Soviet Soldiers and Soviet Admiral who board the station and force Security to lay down their arms. Resistance will be expected from Security officers and any still loyal to the Captain during this hostile take over.

 

All crew members who revolt will be executed or placed into the gulag by the heavily armed Soviet soldiers who take the station. Security officers can choose to stay loyal to the corporation can attempt to resist. Any hostile actions from resisting crew members can be met with death.

 

Soviet Soldiers and new loyal conscripts will be arresting the Captain, Blueshield, and Nanotrasen Rep to remove them from Command as the Soviet Admiral takes over. Any head of staff that chooses to resist will also be taken with them. They will be held at Isolation before having a proper execution.

 

The station will assume normal duties under the new Soviet rule. Crew members who misbehave badly with a Major crime in Space Law will be taken to the perma brig.. Assaulting or attempting to kill a Soviet soldier or conscript will result in the crew member being lined up for firing squad execution.

 

Every 15-25m of the round a supply drop will be made via the Cargo shuttle with crates full of uniforms, weapons, ammo, etc.

 

At around 12:30 NT learns of this annexation and hires the mercenaries known as Freedom Operatives who stand by Freedom from Soviet scum especially and arm them heavily with the weapons stated above. The goal of the Freedom Ops is to neutralize all Soviet personnel, and free the captured crew members who had resisted along with the Captain, Blueshield, and NT Rep who were to be executed at 13:20. They are also to try and inspire the crew to rejoin Nanotrasen. As such they will have addtional weapons including the m1911s and a crate full of Nanotrasen Navy uniforms for the NT Aligned crew to wear.

 

The Freedom Ops will also be given Supply caches from the white CC shuttle at docking port 4. In this they will receive ammo, medkits, a surgery crate, and later on their mechs.

 

At around 13:30 Both factions mechs will begin to be delievered on their supply shuttles with a notification about the additional armaments to fight the other faction with.

 

It may also be recommended to "bluespace teleport" supplies and reinforcements in other locations to help prevent them from being instantly killed in the first 10m

 

It is expected much of the crew will die, as such there will be reinforcements on both sides for ghosts who died to come back and join their appropriate faction in each wave. Waves are expected to arrive with the supplies every 15-25m The victor at the end of turning the Cyberiad into a warzone will be decided at when the emergancy shuttle docs. It will be then that the NT Aligned Freedom ops and their allies are to take the shuttle and efend it from any Soviet forces who seek to use it to invade Central Command.

 

Soviet forces at the time the shuttle docks will be tasked by their Admiral or Soviet Command if the Admiral is dead to take the Emergancy Shuttle and use it to surprise attack Central Command to ensure their ability to Annex more Nanotrasen stations in this region of space.

 

 

 

 

A quick short summary of both sides objectives as time goes on

 

Soviet Forces:

At round start Soviet forces gear up in white CC docking shuttle. at 12:05 a message is sent to the crew that the station is now in Soviet Space and being Annexed by the USSR.

 

Soviet forces are gien the objective at round start to secure the Cyberiad and arrest the BS, Cap, and NT Rep. They are grnated persmission to arrest/kill anyone who attempts to resist this hostile take over. They are however STRICTLY encouraged NOT to use excessive force. Using excessive force will end up with them being gibbed for disobedience.

 

After the take over Soviet forces are to reinforce the station and await further orders from Soviet High Command.

 

Once the Freedom forces board the station they are to attempt to repel the invaders and keep the station under Soviet control.

 

When the shuttle docks they are then ordered to take it and use it for a surprise attack at Central Command to determine their victory.

 

Their win condition is arriving at central command with at least one Soviet member on the shuttle.

 

NT Funded Freedom Operatives:

 

This operatives are entirely being funded and paid for by Nanotrasen. Their leader will be a NT Officer or Captain whom is overseeing the Liberation of the Cyberiad.

 

Freedom Forces when they arrive are given the objective to make contact with the underground freedom fighters at the Old Bar. They will bring with them crates with a few small arms for the freedom fighters.

 

The Liberation force is then contacted and told to begin attempting to retake the station from the Soviet forces. They are notified supply drops will be made at the Old Bar and with the CC white transport shuttle.

 

Their first objectives are to free the Captain, NT Rep, and Blueshield from the gulag before their execution. After wards they begin to fight heavily against Soviet forces in an attempt to take back the station.

 

Upon shuttle arrival they are ordered to sieze the shuttle and prevent Soviet forces from tkaing it over.

 

Their win condition is the Shuttle arriving at Central Command with no soviet forces aboard.

Title Of Event: Protect our VIP guest(s)

 

Pretense: "The station will be visited by representatives of (insert some random generic corporation name). Please make them feel at home and don't perturb their bodyguards. If they like our dear station we may get them to sponsor us. - Nanotrasen's Board of Directors." (This message can change if Ely has a better one.)

 

Equipment: Make the VIPs wear some stylish executive clothes, they can have some armor vest and telebaton too. Their body guards can be armored almost the same level as blueshields and carry a full sec belt, taser, telebaton and a pistol that should be holstered. The Syndicate Assault Team can be geared kinda like the nuke ops, maybe they need a bit of balance so they don't seem OP or too weak.

 

Plot (What should happen in this event.): Basically the VIP guests will come from Centcomm to visit the station. They'll have a interest in all the departments so their job is to look at everything and give reviews. Basically their general objective is to see if Cyberiad really is worth of a monetary investment. Their bodyguards objectives is simple, protect the VIPs with their lifes. The Syndicate Assault Team objective is simple too, retrieve the VIPs dead or alive to their base. If the shuttle arrives by vote and the VIPs are in centcomm, crew wins. If the Assault Team get the VIPs to their base, they win. If the Assault Team is all dead, crew wins (this can change if they are killed to easily).

 

Custom Laws for this Event: If a crewmember assaults a VIP, permabrig. If he does kill the VIP, execution. If the VIP is killed with no hope for cloning, the crew automatically loses.

 

Notes: I wrote this post pretty quickly so the event itself may need little tweaks here and there. Sorry if this has typos too, haha.

Title of Event: Rescue the VIP from bad guys

 

Pretense: "Attention, crew of the NSS Cyberiad. It seems that some VIPs have been captured by the syndicate. Luckily for us, your gateway gives us a direct link to where they are being held hostage. All assistance is welcomed. Please save our VIPs."

 

Equipment: Crew gets nothing.

However, on the other side of the gateway mission (Somewhere that you have to travel. IE, if it's the beach put it below the sea level, underwater and shit. Or the room next to the exit gateway in the xeno mission. You get my point.)...

-5 syndicate operatives

-1 operative with a fucking syndicate RIGsuit (or something extremely difficult to kill)

-1 syndiborg

-Rest of operatives should be geared up with damn good syndicate gear.

-NT VIPs (1 to 3)

-The VIPs themselves should be played as not wanting, or physically unable to fight the syndicates. Makes it a bit more crew focused. Just slightly.

 

Plot: Basically Bill Nye the madman scientist decided to steal NT VIPs and stick them in a room pending evacuation from syndicate forces. NT catches wind of their missing VIPs, but cannot reach the area directly. They soon discover the location just so happens to coincide with the NSS Cyberiad's gateway portal, and, as a last ditch effort, calls the crew in a desperate attempt at getting their VIPs back.

 

Custom laws for this event: if the VIP dies, both sides lose automatically and the surrounding area explodes without warning.

The operatives may NOT leave the place they are holding the VIPs hostage, unless the VIPs should escape/ be set free.

Title of Event: Cult Station 13

Pretense: Depends on how official the cult is on station, might be announced.

Equipment Necessary: Just normal cultist loadout.

Plot: Somehow, a good part/every protected member of the station were cultists of the silent one (Cult of Mortality), including the chaplain. As the Grim Reaper will get the people onboard the station soon enough, seeing the deathrate on the station, the cult has one objective/orders to NOT kill, only to spread. The cultists need to convert the station, people can submit to this, of course, and fortify the station, as a whoole station full of cultists likely is a target for some factions not wanting the cult to spread that much.

Prize for Completion: Not directly, but as the cult station would involve basically everyone, people might just get to know how to cult with the new gear.

Custom Sprites/OGG's: Not needed, maybe some spooky music to fit the cultstation.

 

It might be a bit like the force borging event, this time only with culting instead of borging, people not wanting to join there, or it is a bit more like a declaration of war, just with more preperation time, and fancy defences, like pylons to heal, invisible walls, teleportation, cult equipment, depending on how the cult does work together. You might be also able to remove the cultist hud, so you would basically have "traitors", which aren't cultists, and might try to get the drop on culties to deconvert and spread. I think there would be quite some possibilities to direct them.

Event: NAS Trurl takeover/Rescue of CC VIPs

 

Equipment Necessary: Appropriately armed SST on the Trurl, possibly Syndicate Operatives wearing ERT gear/using ERT weapons.

 

Plot: Remember the time I "ran an event" on the crew and unsuspecting admins as a traitor looking to distract command and security?

The premise is actually pretty solid, and despite there being no actual takeover of the Cyberiad, in the chaos, admins sent an ERT and deathsquad, both of which were dispatched by the crew, which caused admins to ragequit restart the server because of perceived self-antagging by the crew.

 

Anyway, the feedback after the round was roundly positive, among players, at least. More than one called it "the best round" they had played on SS13. The whole nature of not really knowing what was going on, when it was going to happen, and the confrontation with the ERTs, was intense.

 

I think an "alternative" way of messaging the crew would be cool. Like sending hundreds of letters in space that will settle against the outside of the station for people to find and read, with some sort of logistical IC justification. Or printing out the letter at the Supply consoles, using the QM justification similar to what I suggested in my letter.

 

The assault could come to the Cyberiad by way of an ERT that is actually a SST in NT gear. Crew should be aware that something is up before this happens, and have time to prepare. Assuming defeat of the ERT, crew could then use the shuttle and IDs to raid the Trurl and rescue the VIPs.

 

It's also possible the crew could purposefully call the escape shuttle with the intention of raiding the NAS Trurl and freeing the CC VIPs from the Syndicate. I also think ordering that the Cyberiad show up with an armed nuke is a good idea too, as it will add suspense to the endeavor.

This is a refined version of the Soviet Invasion and Annexation event I had previously posted.

 

This one is entirely to be more refined to make it more clear and less murderboney and the likes.

 

The new name for it is purely: Factions.

 

IC Announcement: It'll mainly be the standard Nations announcement followed up by a CC Announcement saying they're detecting several delegation ships heading towards the Cyberiad.

Equipment Needed:

For Soviets:

Soviet Admiral. Soviet Soldiers. Mosins Nagats. Stripper Clip (7.62mm). speed loader (.357)

 

For Facisti:

Solider Jackets. Soldier Uniforms. Officer Hat. Bulletproof Helmet. Bulletproof Armor. AEGs renamed to MP44s. toploader magazine (5.56mm).

 

For FREEEEDOM:

Glorious Freedom Red While and Blue Eagle suits. M-GL90 Carbines. (Not sure on the ammo) M1911s (9mm Magazines I think?)

 

At the start of the game the start of Nations where all contracts are dissolved goes off. The crew is then left as their basic Cyberiad self. All Nation Icons are then changed however to be the blank ones Assistants have as to identify they ahve not chosen a Faction. About five minutes after it has gone off. At about 12:10 to 12:15 Soviet forces board the now unclaimed Cyberiad and declare themselves as the Annexers of the station. They openly welcome all crew to join them and meet them at a the bar like true Soviets. All crew who show to join the Soviets have their icons changed to the Brigston Icons so they know they're pure Reds.

 

It is expected like we've learned through the previous Annexations of the Cyberiad events that Security and some of Command mostly will not agree with this and likely attack the soviets. Said Soviet soldiers should be briefed to expect Combat shortly after docking. The Soviets entire goal is to make the whole of Cyberiad into a Sickle and Hammer. Purely Red and made of strong, Soviet steel.

 

About 10 minutes after the Soviets board the station. The Facisti also board the station now as well. Their icons being Scientopia. As such they will move to Escape and call for all crew members who wish for good healthcare, and a strong, reliable Nation to head to Escape. There crew members will get to join them as well. The Facisti's entire goal is to unit the crew under the idea of progress, the glory of Science and technology under a strong, Anti Soviet banner.

 

However, that is not needless to say Democracy will not also be in this bid of power for the Cyberiad. Democracy lives and breaths off of the people and buisnesses. As such, they have sent Freedom Operatives of pure Democracy sent to the station which will have the Cargonia icon for them. They will also make an announcement calling for all FREEEDOM loving crew members to come to Cargo and join their Faction of DEMOCRACY. The entire goal of the Freedom Forces is to make the entire station into a Capitalists dream full of Freedom and Money.

Title of Event: The Friendly Wizard and The Bad Minotaur // (any thing at all can be the name)

 

Pretense: (from CC)Crew of NSS Cyberiad: Due to the need for co-operation against a mutual threat, we have formed a temporary alliance with the Wizard Federation. They will be sending a Nano Trasen sanctioned wizard to assist in the defense against the impending threats. The only information we have on these impending threats are that they could be anything. Be prepared and stick together.

 

Equipment Necessary: One wizard with a healing staff, and whatever else they so choose

 

Plot: A friendly/allied wizard helps the crew defend the station against constant admin provided !!FUN!! (IC'y identified as some sort of dark wizard)

 

Prize for Completion?: No prize necessary, but maybe the crew gets to end the shift with a magical gift of "summon magic" once they defeat all the waves of admin shenaniganry

 

Custom Sprites/OGG's?: Nothing special is required. A beautiful part of this event is all it takes is for the wizard death round end flag to be removed, a friendly wizard spawned and instructed to be helpful healing ally, and for the admins to do their awesome thing where they decide what and how much of something to inflict upon the crew. The "threat" the announcement refers to can be a powerful dark wizard which shows up as a final boss (ideally played by an admin) and concludes the event. The ongoing waves of enemies (or whatever obstacles) produced by the "dark wizard" can be tailored and balanced to how well or poor the wizard and the crew are performing.

"Good day crew, my name is "insert name" and I am the Administrator for your sector, while you may be unaware as you reside within deep space - Nanotrasen and the surrounding factions of your sector have recently come into ownership of the Universal Union. The Combine:

 

The only ones requiring equipment are the combine, for the purposes of this security will need to be teleported onto the combine shuttle for this role. To avoid the whole, security having a giant shootout with the event people - they instead will be The Combine.

 

The equipment requires them to all wear SWAT gear and gas masks, as well as be equipped with the usual security gear. They'll be armed with stunners, as well as Stechkin pistols, as the combine in their own fashion utilize ballistic weapons. Most are very familiar with the Half Life lore and so the combine players if lead by someone familiar with said lore should be very convincing. - The OTA soldiers will need to be donned in hardsuits and have C20 R weapons, the OTA can be made from observers and should be very few in number - like 2-3 of them.

 

Their ID's will also need to be red and state "MPF Officer" "Divisional Leader(HOS) and "OTA Soldier", the leader of this troop being the AI who receives orders and laws from the union and executes them. Outside of security ID's would remain the same.

 

Just as a note - Command staff need to be told that they've been implanted to be loyal to the combine. This is to avoid slaughter and to give the crew the whole impression they belong to the combine and that no one but themselves can rebel against them. That way you don't have the captain running around charging with an army, the rebels must feel very much alone in this fight.

 

Plot (if one exists):

The Combine have taken over control of the sector, all surrounding factions have either been destroyed or have submitted to their rule, Nanotrasen is one such faction. All security forces under the NT rule have undergone mind implantation to make them subservient to the combine, they still retain their memories but by every fiber of their body wish to serve the combine and have also had a number of their emotions repressed, so they may kill without issue.

 

For the most part things remain business as usual, but the combine are tyrannical in nature, so those who rebel against them or speak ill against the benefactors will find themselves in a labour camp or dead. Though for the benefit of the players, security should never kill someone unless they outright try to kill them. Beatings are to be applied regularly, so is torture - though they must always be functional enough afterwards to still perform their duties.

 

Science will be regarded in high esteem, as the combine have built their empire on stolen technology and slaves.

 

The aim of the game for those not subjugated under the thumb of the combine is rebellion, but a smart rebellion - one that relies on subterfuge and the gathering of resources. They must bide their time and pretend to be for the combine, as they slowly take charge to defeat the combine. The officers are encouraged to if having found rebels, to send them to labour camp instead of killing them so they might have a chance to escape or just beat them. So as to keep the chance of rebellion alive even after their first failure, which is inevitable. Though the combine will utilize spies whom the bridge staff will hire whose jobs will be to find traitors and rebels by pretending to be ones themself.

 

If the players manage to defeat their oppressors, they will have a moment of reprise a they've taken back their station and it's really up to the administration as to what happens next. Did the other stations and planets manage to do the same or are they alone in this fight? Are they nuked by the combine who see them as a flea or are the union too busy dealing with uprisings all over the sector to be able to do anything about it? Though no matter what please do not send death squads or "The Freedom Eagles" to save the day, it's up to the crew to save themselves. If they all die trying than that is how the story goes.

Title of Event: Inter species Summit

 

Pretense: (Central Command) NSS Cyberiad, due to multiple issues and increasing tension among the many known species, Nanotrasen will be holding a Inter species Summit on board the station. Thank you, try your best to alleviate these tensions. ((Or something to that effect)).

 

Equipment Necessary(Style of equipment, flavor, surroundings what do you want?): Depends on the background of the species (less technological developed species has cheaper or weaker items/ less items.), maybe some bodyguards and such.

 

Plot (if one exists): Due to increasing tensions among several known species, Nanotrasen has decided to hold a summit, to preserver trade treaties and such, (un)fortunately, they had selected the NSS Cyberiad to be the place were the summit is to be held. The regular crew, and Command, have to attempt to help in improving the relations. During this time, some companies (e.g. Syndicate and other small time companies/organizations) had their agents infiltrate the crew, and they would find it more profitable if such relations deteriorated even more...

Title of Event: The Great Carp Migration

Pretense: From CentComm, talk about a very large school of space carp is attacking the station and that an ERT is being sent ASAP

Equipment Necessary: Give the ERT operatives shoddier gear like swat and energy guns (budget cuts)

Plot: None (it's just a bunch of carp sieging the station, If you want something, say that the system has too many carp and they are searching for more plentiful places)

Title of Event: Saw, in space! (or Would You Rather)

Pretense (if you want me to message the station prior)

Central Command sends an update to the station's crew stating that one of their diamond-tier donors, a local space aristocrat (with a fancy name), is looking for contestants for a reality show. It is also detailed that the aristocrat is looking for ten volunteers from non-critical occupations (assistants mostly would work best as to avoid impacting the station) and that the winner will become the heir to the aristocrat's fortune.

Equipment Necessary(Style of equipment, flavor, surroundings what do you want?):

Aristocrat: older man, fancy clothes, and a cane should do.

Additionally, a shuttle will be needed to ferry the contestants between arrivals and Central Command.

Finally, the admin construction area will be used as the location for the games and will need to be set up with a separate chamber for each round along with a starting area (where the contestants wake up), a victory room (luxurious wood floored room with plush furniture and maybe a fireplace) where the winner will receive their prize, and a observation room where the aristocrat will observe the game and use intercoms to communicate with the contestants.

Plot (if one exists):

After all set up is complete, the pretense CC report will be sent, and the aristocrat will arrive on his shuttle at a arrivals docking port. Ten contestants will be allowed onto the shuttle, at which point the outer door will be bolted (perhaps the aristocrat has a remote with access) to prevent further people from boarding. Once on the shuttle, all ten contestants will be required to strip naked and all of their belongings besides their ID will be placed into a locked closet. Then, all ten contestants will receive a different colored jumpsuit (ten different colored jumpsuits would be already placed in a locker on the shuttle). At this point, either all ten contestants will be asked to blindfold and handcuff themselves (perhaps the aristocrat is rather paranoid and wishes to keep the location of his space mansion a secret) OR they will all be knocked out by N2O / other means and blindfolded and cuffed. Once all of these steps are complete, the shuttle departs for Central Command.

Once the shuttle has arrived at Central Command, the contestants will be teleported or otherwise moved to the starting area in the game chambers and the aristocrat will be placed in the observation room. At this point, the aristocrat will inform the contestants to remove their handcuffs and blindfolds via intercom and they will each deposit the items onto a table or into a locker. Once all of the contestants have done this, the door to the first game chamber will open and the contestants will be told to enter it. From this point forward, each room is a round of the game and one person must be eliminated each round. By eliminated, I mean they will suffer more gruesome and immoral deaths as the rounds progress. Each room will be a different type of puzzle or morality-based game where the contestants will decide who lives and who dies.

Eventually, in the last game chamber, one of the two remaining contestants will perish and the victor will continue into the victory room. In the victory room, the victor will find the aristocrat, and will be presented with a choice. They can either leave through the exit (takes them to the shuttle, allowing them to go back to the station empty handed), kill the aristocrat and go back to the station empty handed, or take the winnings (the aristocrats fortune) and go back to the station.

A large fortune of cash along with some other swanky items that a rich space aristocrat might hold dear.

Nanotrasen SWE Fight Night

Pretense (if you want me to message the station prior)

Greetings NSS Cyberiad. You have been 100% randomly selected to be apart of Nanotrasen's new hit series, SWE Fight Mania. As such, you are hereby ordered to create a "Rage Cage" Inside of either the Bar or Dorms with either Shield Generators, or Electrified grilles (Though the first is preferred) along with any seating accommodations that you see fit. A video camera should be placed near or inside of the cage. The crew will be pitted against each other in an epic brawl up to and leading not only the title of Cyberiad's Number One Brawler, but a mystical prize for them to take home! The Captain and Head of Personnel are to collect names of contestants while the cage is being constructed and made into a ladder format.

None really, Everything the crew should be making on their own. Any possible would be potentially a brawl of several people against some giant, horrifying monster.

Plot (if one exists):

Nanotrasen recently become obsessed with Reality TV Shows and decided to pitch their robust lot into the mix by starting a broadcasted Fight Night series in which to make even more revenue from a very untouched market. After recent successes and random selections; the Cyberiad has been picked as the next host for Nanotrasens bloody money and gamling addiction.

Title of Event: Reality TV Madness

Pretense: 

Greetings NSS Cyberiad. We are happy to announce that you have been sold by Nanotrasen to one of its sister companies, EntertainCorp. EntertainCorp is the leading producer of reality TV shows, holodramas, soap operas and many other exciting entertainment products. And you, yes you have been selected as the subject of our newest reality TV show, called 'A hundred monkeys and a very small metal box in hard vacuum'. Don't worry about the name, we have to draw in the viewers somehow. For now, just go about your day while we watch and record. We will occasionally send you orders either via fax, announcements or even secretly per PDA messages, to make things interesting. You are to follow those orders to the letter. Your contracts with Nanotrasen carry over, including the execution clauses. Also, did we mention you can all win fabulous prices if you entertain our viewers?

Equipment Necessary: A few prices for the crew to win. Briefcases of cash, stuffed toys, dangerous weapons and space suits. Anything, really. Maybe also spawn a 'moderator' with a tape recorder and all-access ID to come aboard and interview people for the viewers.

Plot: The station is being turned into a giant reality TV show. The admins should give the crew and station orders via fax, CC announcement or PDA messages. Things like 'we want the captain to heroically lead the attack on the blob, it would look really nice to see him lead the security forces. Oh and no pesky helmets please, we want the viewers to see the faces of their heroes'. Or 'each department must keep their pet alive while stealing the pets of the other departments, whoever wins gets a box with prices'. 'We want to show our viewers a duel between you and X, go challenge him' sent via PDA to someone. Basically, just have the 'producers' create drama and tension for their viewers, without care for what it does for the actual running of the station.

Prize for Completion: People that impress the viewers and follow orders get rewarded with cash, diamons, stuffed animals and dangerous weapons and gear.

Title of EventINDEPENDENCE DAY

Pretense: None

Equipment Necessary: Nothing that you couldnt get in an "extended" game

Plot: The captain of the ship, an once proud member of Nanotrasen, has developed a strong oposition to the company's business strategies. Given this, the captain has decided that his most important duty is no more serving Nanotrasen, and will have to meet and convince the department heads of following him on the rebellion and stock up on whatever he thinks is needed, be it weapons, be it rubber ducks; without letting the NT rep, blueshield, or IAA discover anything about this rebellion until it's finished, otherwise they could warn CentralCommand. He has two ways of carrying out this rebellion:

1-Peacefully, by according an independence with the heads, drafting a constitution, and announcing it to everyone.

2-Agressively, by organizing an attack against CC, be it by trying to BSA it's base, disposing of representation of Nanotrasen on the ship, or any other ways of violently doing so.

Of course, Central Command is unpredictable, and his actions to these acts of rebellion can vary, they may deem the station unvaluable and leave them alone, or they will send someone to make sure the rebellious captain leaves the station in a body bag...

But who knows, maybe those still loyal to the station will do everything they can to avoid this independence... Even if it means that a civil war breaks out inside the cyberiad...

Prize for Completion? : The NSS Cyberiad is recognized as a Republic. Doesnt really provide profit beyond RP, maybe just not being bond to SOP and being able to create their own regulations.

Extra info: Today I tried to pull off the independence a couple of times. On the first one I hadn't admin intervention, so it was somewhat succesful (the scenario part, not the independence) but I ended up being brought into CentralCommand and executed there. Given that people were screaming "Glory to the Cyberiad Republic" in the public and command chat before my execution, I can say that the crew loved it.

Second one... well I was making my act of bad guy trashing NT in an evil speech to the HoS, I got a PM from an admin so.... Revolution was canceled. But they were eager to do it tough!

If this is approved i take dibs on the first Captain role, you had to see those speeches... Now that's art

After they arrive: Alert: Platoon "Station Crashers" have arrived on the station, do NOT make contact with them and RUN away or HIDE until the problem is resolved.

During the years of Spacenam, with conflict between the Capitalists and the Communists; A Military Space Station, approx 12 Light Years away send a team of Spacenam grade soldiers to Space Station 13 (SS13), instead of Trạm không gian 13 (TKG13). The Spacenam Soldiers, with their real platoon name "Station Crashers"  are trained for one thing, and that's killing a bunch of communists, the problem is, they're on the wrong station and they start to invade the crew and kill every "Commie" there is. The soldiers are armed with M16 Assault Rifles that relate to the actual Vietnam War, and YES there WILL be a platoon leader that will have an M60 Machine gun (Just re-texture the guns or something.) The crew will be sent the message "ALERT: An unidentified military force has invaded the station at [Area where they crash they appear on the station] sources believed believe them to be Spacenam soldiers, please alert them that they are on the wrong station" (Or something similar to that) But of course, they just want to fill shit with bullet holes, so they will start killing the crew. Also have their names as "American" as possible, like "Harold Johnson" or "Earl Benson"
