  1. i'd say limit it to "formal" shoes. it'd be a bit weird if the sound played with something goofy like clown shoes or ducky shoes, or something heavy like mag boots.
  2. My main problem with this would be the same issue original mechanic had, them prioritizing themselves and then just waltzing off into space essentially being another explorer, then there is as was said earlier the factor of how long can someone really be bothered to be making modsuits over the course of a 2 hour round. Also competence or lack of it isn't a purely robotics issue either, the mechanic could be just as competent or incompetent, Also modsuits aren't really something everyone is suppose to/needs to have we're really only seeing them in such abundance because they're the new hotness. So I don't see much of a point to have a single job for a singular purpose that isn't all that vital, robotics has plenty of down time after the initial surge of borgs coming for their upgrades and if robotics needs to be focused on exosuits then chances are things are really bad and modsuits can take a back seat until whatever horrible biohazard or whatnot that caused the need for exos is dealt with.
  3. sitting on a little over 3000, this game is a hell of a drug
  4. I mean you're (in most cases) willingly taking the xenomicrobes, that means you're willingly accepting the consequences that come with it, If you choose to take the funny pill to become a alien biohazard you should be expecting the negatives as well, like slapping on a nukies hardsuit when you aren't one you're choosing to make yourself a potential target.
  5. advanced rules does actually cover what is and is not crew, silicon side states being on manifest makes you crew, vampires for example are still crew as far as the rules page goes while a wizard is not unless they somehow were to get themselves officially on the crew manifest. the one exception is changelings which the adv rules clearly states they are not crew.
  6. yes, please. i'm tired of emping myself because some funny alien man decided it was a good idea to shove a emp generator into my chest
  7. god yes please, release me from the never ending purgatory of cyberiad.
  8. I also like this idea as well, for what peak mentioned about the bladder spewing, maybe make it so it happens when the cling gets ib causing them to constantly leak their chems and needing to use a channeled ability, presumably the toggle for the bladder itself to repair their chem bladder.
  9. definitely would like them not causing breaches, possibly make the vendor mobs themselves more dangerous sense from what I see half the time no one actually deals with the vendors before they become sentient so making the mobs themselves a bigger threat would make it something people take a bit more seriously.
  10. Name: Jacklyn Frost Age: 20 ("born" August 31st 2546) Gender: Female Race: IPC Blood Type: None. (What kind of machine has blood let alone a blood type?) General Occupational Role(s):When actually working tends to work as a nurse, chaplain, chef, bartender or xenobiologist and on rare occasions as a captain. Biography: "Born" on the snow planet of Aurorus, Jacklyn was quick to learn and love the trader lifestyle long practiced by her family and in time took over the family business when her mother moved on to other ventures. Jacklyn has always found enjoyment in studying older cultures mostly out of her own curiosity (and potential trade profits of course) rather then any academic purposes, whether it be music, media or cuisine learning the whys and how's of a foreign culture sparks her interest. Qualifications: Jacklyn has passed multiple advanced courses provided by Nanotrasen covering all fields of the medical and science departments, while also possessing extensive on hands experience in many Trader related skills along with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Archaeology. Employment Records: Jacklyn started out apprenticing under her mother as a trader from the moment of her "birth" while also pursuing her education in Archaeology and Anthropology, Later going on to work for Nanotrasen when the family's company secured a partnership deal with Nanotrasen and eventually taking over the family business. Security Records: Jacklyns personal records are clean as she keeps to the laws around her, However due to her familial treatment of those who work for her she has plenty of records related to her own employees, usually paying off fines or bails. Medical Records: While physically fine Jacklyn has a drinking problem that she is currently struggling to kick, While her mental state is somewhat questionable as she has claimed to frequently hear a voice whispering to her stating it as the god of the religion she follows. Personnel Photo (Appearance text): A mostly human looking IPC sizing up at four feet and two inches tall (127 cm). Her monitor constantly displays a gentle snowfall making her head look like a snowglobe. Every now and then a pair of black oval shaped eyes and a wide half circle smile with what look like two small fangs pointing down from the top can be seen behind the snow fall. Other Notes: Jacklyn greets friends and family with the customary greeting of her home planet Aurorus, if you hear her say "Hee ho!" to someone than its a clear sign she thinks positively of that person.
  11. I more or less have to agree with everything thats already been said as an IPC main myself, however I do think the first suggestion wouldn't be too bad if it were changed to only remove one of the ipcs 50% weaknesses (they take +50% from both brute and burn for the unfamiliar both the most common damage types) or a smaller number like was said 10% or so for both, and I only think this on the basis that other then ipc only two other races have two separate damage modifiers, diona who take 25% burn as opposed to 50% and 50% heat but also have constant slow regeneration, the other being the new boys on the block nians who take 50% extra toxin and electrical damage both being in my experience much less common compared to brute and burn.
  12. Ways to make an engineer main consider delaming an engine number 58
