  1. Its pretty low ATM, 3 7 14, that's just big enough to wreck one wing of the station if placed in the right spot, and its makable within 5 minutes of round start. Nobody wants the station destroyed every other round by server killing bombs, but could we have some bigger booms? So few players even bother with toxins mixing, it'd just be nice for it to be more... rewarding. The current max explosion will just expose a handful of tiles to space, gib anyone next to it, and blast some holes in close by walls, it'd be so much better if it was just slightly larger.
  2. This +9000 Its already hard enough convincing atmospherics to let you borrow an N2 canister already.
  3. I think a better option would be just limit the number of hardsuits (two in EVA, one or two in secure storage, maybe make EVA CE access only) and give engineering soft suits instead. Because in all honesty, a "hard" suit offering less protection than some wool and cotton is just unbalanced in favour of security (who never have their armours nerfed I've noticed). Making the hardsuits rarer and harder to actually aquire would adequately justify their value in combat no? Especially since engineers are always the ones who end up going up against the likes of space carp/xenomorphs/blobs.
  4. Too many damn times have I been given away by my victim pointing at me whilst they're cuffed and gagged. This is especially annoying when we're in pitch darkness. People who are restrained shouldn't be able to spam point IMO.
  5. The best part is that you can then turn the new victims into more meat pies that are equally poisoned... Infinite death food!
  6. It does, turn someone who was killed by a lethal injection into a meat pie and see what that pie does to people. I once murdered a dozen or so crew members that way.
  7. It is a crappy NT knockoff isn't it? Be nice if it wasn't so damn slow, but the only reason to ever grab one is for the armour value (which is pretty average really).
  8. The funnest part about gases is that they're all available in abundance in toxins storage, which nobody ever guards.
  9. As it is now, the bridge is just a really ugly block line of consoles, I don't care what the finished one is like. The current one is so ugly anything would be better.
  10. I think the telebatons are meant to be more for defence and getting away than for being a departmental sec officer.
  11. A service department with a head chef (like the QM over cargo) lording over their service minions would be a great idea.
  12. Detective playing super cop? asshole sentencing (max time, EVERYTIME)? Jumping to any and all conclusions and ignoring due process entirely? That stuff really should be ahelpable, power tripping dicks ruin far too many rounds. Sec is essential for dealing antags and greytide... but damn they've really sunk to a new low recently, they don't even expect any evidence anymore, if someone thinks they saw something you're guilty as sin straight off.
  13. Yeah, very much so. At the moment there's no "way" that slime people are supposed to behave, so naturally they just slip into generic/griefy roles. I'm not one to bother much for RP, but Kidans buzzing and tarajan being asshole catmen really help make rounds sometimes. It'd be great if slime people could have something similar that defines them, culturally or whatever, just to make them more than OP translucent baldies.
  14. Slime people have as much lore as any other race, just nobody has written them a history. Greys have their hive fleet, tarajan have their slavemasters, even kidan have their empire. All slime people have is that they're primitive aliens that NT picked up.
  15. Yes please, get rid of it, or at least apply it to certain weapons only (broken bottles stick a lot IRL don't they?). Its annoying as hell when your only immediate weapon is inexplicably taken from you by the damn RNG.
  16. The way its been explained to me is that you don't pay 45 karma points to be a super OP bird person/have a different gameplay experience entirely, you pay it because being allowed to SKREEE at everything is cool as hell. The idea is that they're RP things (since karma points are given for RP'ing apparently) with a few differences to make them play smoother, not like different classes or anything. The karma cost is so high possibly in part because lore-wise vox are supposed to behave in a very different way to other species, tarajan on the other hand are just Arabic catmen (IN SPAAACE!). That said a few special vox things would be pretty cool, same way some tarajan robes would be, or unathi regenerating limbs and a whole bunch of other stuff for everything else, there's like a few dozen people coding this stuff at most, species fluff is pretty low on their list for the most part. I really don't like the idea of having to breathe plasma though, that'd make refilling tanks very tedious. TLDR: The impression I've got is that Races are (meant to be) RP not gameplay things. Obligatory "Vox are not meant for normal gameplay".
  17. You might want to add that slime people are mostly space-proof. Since they have no organs their don't take any damage from low pressure, they just have to wear a space worthy helmet to suffer no ill effects. I've tested this a few times, not sure if its WAD or not but its been that way for a while.
  18. Perhaps placing xenobotany where the toxins storage room is now (just below robotics) could work? Its not like any of the canisters are ever used anyway, and we could always stick a similarly sized storage in the empty space between toxins mixing and the shuttle dock if people really miss their N2O.
  19. More access? Bad idea, we already have blueshields looting cargo bay for speedloaders, just imagine the inevitable abuse that would result from security offices being able to get into R&D. That, and would you really trust the equivalent of a mall cop (IN SPAAACE) with super high end explosive materials/the morphine cupboard? "getting into places you have a decent reason to be in" is what the AI is supposed to be for anyway. That said, we do have tempoary pass cards, I don't see any problem with giving the HoS additional access and they then dishing out pass ID's as the situation demands it.
  20. Protects you from pepperspray/holy water/poly acid doesn't it?
  21. ...Is that what you call a complete lack of trust and total breakdown of civility? Then again, you're not wrong.
  22. I think extended rounds should lack the "enemy communication intercepted-code blue" round start thing just so people know not to be completely paranoid, folks won't RP if they're on the edge looking out for antags.
  23. Nothing is worse than taking a borg's power cell out only for it to scamper off... They should at least move at walk speed when de-powered IMO.
  24. Alternatively.. spawn two e-swords with your traitor crystals, create a double-bladed one, then lap up those delicious tears when security can't taze you.
