  1. As some of you might be aware, strange seeds in hydroponics can sometimes roll a trait called ?????, which as far as the code says, does aboslutely nothing. However it used to be tied to a plant called Alien Weed, which gave me an idea: Add unique researchable plants to Lavaland. How it works at first will be simple: A miner will be able to find a unique flora while on lavaland, denotable by a unique sprite compared to the other four plants as well as a description of "Undocumented Plant" or some such. They can harvest a sample of this plant and then bring it back to be redeemed for mining points. Upon redemption, Hydroponics will be given a message much like science is when new materials arrive, and will be able to come pick it up unless cargo decides to ship it to them directly. As for the researching the trait part, I'm not too sure how to go from there. Perhaps it could require growing a certain amount of samples to be analyzed before you can find out the trait in some cases, or be immediately noticeable in the case of chemicals. We could treat it similarly to strange seeds but also give them unique traits only found on these Xenoflora plants. Open to suggestions for traits that might make sense for this of course, and thoughts like always.

As the title states, I had an idea for a karma costing job that could be part of medical or a sub-division of robotics whose purposes are to repair and maintain IPC and People with Implants, as well as provide prosthetics and implants to medical. For this purpose I was thinking they could have a lathe that can only print cybernetic organs and prosthetics/IPC parts. I understand that this might take away work form robotics but.. it really does suck when every mid-round antag blows up robotics and IPC's just.. get shafted due to no place to repair at. Plus it helps medical not have to trek back and forth to robotics every time they need a new prosthetic. As for the area, I was thinking it could use a part of the mech-bay or the offshoot in front of the paramedic in the front section of lobby, across from chemistry. Atleast on the Cyberiad, as for the other two stations I'm a bit clueless. Thoughts on this would be very much appreciated. Suggested Job Titles: Mechanic or Synthetic Technician.
  3. I could see that being an issue, thats why I suggested it have a long channel time. It would really only be useful for minor injuries. Like 10-15 sec for prayer bead healing is not gunna do much for major damage, not to mention requiring you to stand totally still. The pacifism idea is neat, as someone who likes to play a Chaplain of Asclepius.
  4. Ah no the heal wouldn't be instant, it would work a lot like the Prayer Beads, where they have to sit there and channel for 10-15 seconds. Just instead of deconverting and having a 33% chance to heal, it always heals at the cost of not deconverting.
  5. As the title says, I'd like to make a suggestion for a null rod form based off Asclepius. I'm thinking maybe a Serpent of Asclepius that takes up your arm slot (much like the rod does and other null rod items like chainsaw) and works similarly to prayer beads. However instead of being anti-cult and anti-vampire, they instead work like prayer beads with 100% heal chance and 10 second use. While it doesn't enforce pacifism, it does not function as a weapon. It does still remove cult runes and such like a normal null rod would. My final suggestion is that if you have this Serpent of Asclepius you can use it on a Rod of Asclepius, performing the oath the Rod would have you normally do and combining the items together, essentially letting you have the rod of Asclepius function as itself and the Serpent of Asclepius. Maybe call it the Twin Serpent Rod of Asclepius. I am worried this might be a bit unabalanceing so thoughts are appreciated.
  6. So, as the title says, I've got an interesting idea on how to change Diona. Personally, I think the combo of regeneration and immunity to brain damage is insane, it makes it really hard to die from blood loss as a Diona. But besides that, I thought this would be an interesting change that could be in line with the lore of Diona. So For starters, making the Diona Nymph form into the simple form for Diona would be great. After that, the main idea we had was when a Diona reaches a certain threshold of critical health, their hive will break down and split into it's component nymphs. Perhaps one nymph per organ or per limb, with you controlling the "brain" nymph. Now, as for reforming? That part is where my suggestion gets stuck.. not sure what would be fair per-say. The normal nymph way? That falls flat if hydroponics has earthsblood trays, no weeds to eat afterall. Re-absorbing your parts could work if they had timers attached to them. Perhaps it could be treated as a mobile brain for cloning/mmi purposes. Thoughts very much appreciated on this.
  7. So I've been enjoying being an MMI in an exosuit (Quite niche I know), and I've been lamenting the fact that the exosuits only get station bounce radio comms. I would like to suggest the ability to add department comms to exosuits, or perhaps they come prefab with specific departments (I.E. Gygax and Durand have Security pre-added). That's.. about it really. I don't know how one might do it.
