  1. Currently we have one librarian specific traitor items, the E(xplosive)20. This item is an RNG explosive that can either do almost nothing or blow up a hole in the station larger than a maxcap, try your luck and see if it works out for only 3TC! This item isn't necessary bad, but it's impractical and deadly. Traitors with steal objectives with get very minimal use out of this item, and traitors will kill objectives will struggle to kill their target with this and likely take themselves out with their target if they do manage it. For a hijack objective a 3TC explosive is very powerful and justifies its existence to some extent. The E(ncounter)20 is an item designed to be more useful for general antagging without overshadowing the E(xplosive)20 in raw damage situations. The E(ncounter)20 is very simple in its use, throw the dice and depending on number rolled, summon a few enemies to aid you in your endless and evil journey in destruction! Or at least until you managed to piss them off with a stray bullet. Throwing the E(ncounter)20 at someone will "target" them, making the summoned mobs prioritize them over anyone else. All encounters are simple mobs. Encounter program activated, loading holoprojector protocol, establishing connection with [X] computer nodes. ROLL FOR INITIATIVE! 1- Checksum error detected, insufficient connected computer nodes. Please turn off the program, it's a serious crime to pirate video games. 5 pirates spawn, all with blood for you! Better run! 2- A slime approaches with haste! Normal xenobiology slime 3- Pack of Feral Dogs draw near! 4 Ians spawn, they deal 6 damage each and have 15 health each. 4- The Lil critters gang grows closer! 8 "lil critters" spawn, random assortment of small friendly simplemobs, each one deals 5 brute damage and has 5 health. 5- A vengeful spirit rises from the dead! 1 shade spawns, random if it's blue/red. 6- Giant household spider appears! 3 Giant spiders spawn, random type. 7- The garden comes alive! 2 Venus human traps, 2 bees, and 2 killer tomatoes spawn. 8- A Goliath comes from the earth below! A single, very upset Goliath spawns. 9- A school of holocarp appear from thin air! Six holocarp spawn. 10- Fallen angels swoop in! Three faithless spawn 11- An army of machines approach! Two securitrons and a "evil" medibot will spawn, all hacked. 12- Two giant eyes swoop down! Two magmawing watchers spawn 13- Scrapped machines awaken from an endless slumber! 7 Strong hivebots spawn 14- Tunnelclowns seek to reclaim their land! 4 Tunnelclowns spawn, each armed with a VERY nasty 25 brute damage attack and 100 health, they dust on death with a sad honk playing in the background. 1 cluwne goblin also spawns with the group. 15- Aliens beam down! 2 alien hunters, 2 alien sentinels, and an alien queen spawn (All simplemob versions) 16- Mutated fungus notices you! A blobbernaut and 3 blob spores spawn, along with an unlinked blob factory. 17- Alien machinery falls from the sky! A swarmer beacon spawns, along with 2 of each swarmer type 18- Combat drones crash through the window! 5 Malf combat drones spawn, all in their angered state and do NOT go to their passive state. 19- The legion awakes! A legion (yes the megafauna) spawns, except its health is set to 100 [Shouldn't be too bad right?] 20- The king of fear's army stands before you! A prince of terror and 2 red terrors spawn, very dangerous! I'll probably play around with the numbers, and if you got any references you wanna throw in ask and I'll fit em in (mostly to old RPGs).

  2. Hello fellow b*tanists. Chemical Dispenser Meta giving you arthritis? Tired of having to remove your wrist gauntlet to click on chlorine, plasma and radium every ten seconds? Then this is the guide for you. Hydroponics (Cyberiad Map) Ah but Research and Development are at my door with a chemical dispenser demanding plants! How will I have the time to make all the plants they need without the chemical dispenser while also pleasing the chef? Fear not, botanist- for I have the answer to all your woes! Woe, Blumpkin be upon ye. First thing you're going to do while you wait for your vendors to be hacked by anyone with a multitool is you're going to go to your MegaSeed Servitor and vend out three pumpkin seeds. You're going to use these to make Blumpkins. Once you plant your three pumpkin seeds, you're going to go to your NutriMax Vendor. From here, you are going to vend out Left 4 Zed fertiliser. When using a chemical dispenser, the typical strategy for mutating plants is to spam click your plants with Unstable Mutagen at 5u intervals hoping they mutate. This functions. With Left 4 Zed, plants will have a chance of mutation upon reaching a state of harvest. Currently, your plant trays likely have a blue and yellow light. As you may know, the blue light means your plant needs water, and the yellow light means your plant needs nutrients. Fertilizers such as E-Z-Nutrient, Left 4 Zed and Robust Harvest can help your plant in different ways. Today we will be using Left 4 Zed and Robust Harvest. Your pumpkins may not at first mutate into blumpkins. That's totally fine, and besides- you need biomass. Scoop those pumps up into your plant bag, and deposit one or two into your Seed Extractor for spare seeds. Deposit your spare pumpkins into the biogenerator, as highlighted below and hit process. By grinding up plants in the biogenerator, we create biomass for the crew. Points to spend on things such as holsters, cloth, monkey cubes and more. In more relevance to us, it lets us print fertilizers. These will be very important early on. You may be wondering at this point why specifically we are making blumpkins when we have plants to grow for both the Kitchen and Research and Development. Well, b*tanist, we cannot rely on Left 4 Zed forever. Its just not practical enough in the long term. Therefore, we are going to make unstable mutagen INSIDE our own plants. To do this, we need chemical productions of Chlorine, Plasma and Radium. Blumpkins just so happen to have both Chlorine and Plasma productions. Now that you have your blumpkins mutated you may be thinking, well, how do I get radium for my unstable mutagen plants? Am I going to have to grow another obscure niche plant to distract me from doing RND's plants? Not at all. Luckily for us, Glowshrooms, one of the important plants for RND's tech levels, contains 10% radium protection. Curiously, Blumpkins also contain 10% chlorine production and 10% plasma production. Once you have your blumpkins and glowshrooms, you are going to once again turn them into seeds. Once this is done, you are going to place the seeds into the Plant DNA Manipulator. In your lockers, you will find Plant DNA Disks. Take them out of their box and insert them into the Disk Compartmentalizer directly to the left of the Plant DNA Manipulator. When you need to use a disk, which you will shortly, you can take one out and put it into the Plant DNA Manipulator. You can store traits, chemical productions and plant values on disks to insert into other plants. Now, insert your Glowshroom seeds and Blumpkin seeds into the Plant DNA Manipulator and extract Chlorine, Plasma and Radium productions into separate disks. For best results, insert these three disks into a plant with low production speed such as Wheat or Peanuts. Plant your Unstable Mutagen Plant and let it grow. On harvest, the plant's chemicals will all react together and in each plant, unstable mutagen will be created. But how do I get it to mutate my other plants? Luckily for you, the Hydroponics back room contains a grinder. By grinding up your plants, you will be able to extract the raw unstable mutagen from them, and continue as normal without needing to swap out your chemical dispenser cell every few minutes

  3. But, Marm, my plants are low potency! I need saltpetre- what do I do? Worry not, b*tanist- simply read the below to discover the truth. How I increased my plant potency by creating saltpetre inside my own plants. Chapter 1: The Power of Saltpetre Plants The first step in my journey was realising it is impossible to create saltpetre inside my own plants. Chapter 2: The Overwhelming Power of Bees Now that we've told RND to buzz off, we're in a predicament. We lack saltpetre. That's fine, we can make our own. Head to Cargo and order yourself a Beekeeping Starter Set. If the crate eventually arrives, unbox it and you'll notice you're left with a giant apiary in front of you. Insert the honey frames, but do NOT insert the Queen bee yet. Head to Medical or Science Chemistry and ask for a small beaker of saltpetre. Take 5u of the saltpetre out with a syringe and inject it into your Queen Bee. This will chemically alter the Queen Bee. Now insert it into your apiary. You will notice your apiaries are producing bees with (saltpetre) next to them in their names. No, the bees are NOT distributing saltpetre onto your plants. Make sure to put on your beekeeping attire and carry on managing your plants. You will notice your bees are going between the apiary and the plants, and growing in numbers over time. The yield of the plants the bees visit will gradually increase over time. In addition, your apiaries will begin to generate honeycombs. To take them out, take out your honey frames, you will need to take them each out individually to get the full amount. Honeycombs will contain equal parts honey, and equal parts of the chemical you injected into your bees. Therefore, by following the steps above, we begin to create saltpetre from bees. Thus increasing the yield and potency of our plants effectively passively without the use of a chemical dispenser. To extract the saltpetre and honey from our honeycombs, all we need to do is place them into a grinder with a beaker, and grind them up. To seperate your honey from your saltpetre, simply insert your beaker into the Chem Master 3000 in the hydroponics back room, and make rather separate bottles of saltpetre or separate bottles of honey. Well done. You are now doing dispenserless botany. Have fun, B*tanist.

  4. Hostage situations are a rare sight on Paradise, and I imagine most other servers as well. I had only attempted it once before, and as you can imagine, to no great success. This time was different, though. While it was ill planned and rushed, the setup was almost perfect - put the hostage inside the plasma filled turbine chamber, a button press away from turning the slime girl hostage into a Creme Brulè. The plan was to get the CMO there alone, with the hypospray to trade for her wife’s life, but security soon sniffed things out, and I was forced to make it publicly known - any interference would mean the woman’s life would end. Soon after, security was at the door, the Captain too, ready to make the trade. The Captain was to enter alone, but as you can imagine, the indifference to the general safety of the crew that every security officer harbours in their blackened hearts proved too strong - the urge to baton and disable too intoxicating. One officer tried to contain his bloodthirsty colleague, but he could not keep them all back. Forced to activate my adrenal implant, I rush for the button, the room filling with a blaze - only for the hostage to be rescued by an engineering cyborg in the last second. Defeated, I make my escape. I change my disguise and blend in with the crew once more, unsure of what to do next. Passing by the bridge, I spot the heroic cyborg receiving a medal for its actions. As it proudly drags the medal behind it as it leaves, triumph running through its circuits, I hit it with my flash and open its cover, overloading it’s system with my emag. My objectives forfeit, I give it one single task to wrong the right. Kill the hostage it rescued. It has no choice but to comply. It begins its search as I make a desperate attempt to fulfil my duties - leading to my death. From the afterlife, through the salty tears, I spot the cyborg deep in space, broken beyond repair, the body of the woman it saved floating lifelessly beside it. And a carp. There was also a carp. I learned that the officer responsible for the mishandling of the situation had been demoted on the spot, but being the beast of pride that he was, he ended his own life right then and there. There are many things to fear on the Cyberiad. But there is nothing more dreadful than he who believes he can do no wrong - he who’s crusade for justice leaves a trail of mangled bodies in his wake, all in the name of turning a line of text from a green color, to a red color.
